Another 90 minutes of predictable depressing purgatory …… but can’t not be there. It’s our club.

My new bar for walking out the ground is when we go 3 down, so my excitement comes from wondering whether I get to see the full game these days.

Was gonna bring the kids but decided to leave them at home for their own safety due to the reputation of the Cambridge fans.

Will trundle over for this, should be fun 🙄 largely on basis the following two Tuesday homes are a real pain in the arse and one will have to be missed.

Constant rejigging of games to Tuesdays due to international breaks, clashes with cup rounds, postponements, knackers me up with my coaching commitments, can't keep messing my athletes about for it, even though I shelled out for a ST in Feb

If we don't get an early goal I can't be arsed with the toxic atmosphere that they'll be.

Think I'll watch the first half with a pint on the concourse then decide whether it's worth taking my seat for the 2nd half!

Sympathy for anyone who has to travel any distance for a night match, and/or has other commitments on Tuesdays.

But we've got away with it a bit so far, Charlton will be our 2nd night match of the season, last season we'd had 2 by 3rd October.

In but not looking forward to it at all

Start slowly and fans will lose what little patient's (if any) they have left

True, it's felt like more because of the cup games (albeit didn't make them a priority). I'm not as bad if they come pre Christmas, quieter time for me, a glut of them in Jan-Mar is bad, clashes with the indoor competition season. Anyway, not all about me, as they say 🤣

Why will fans be bring patients to a match ? Even the doctors and nurses will leave them at home won’t they ? 😘😂

Is anyone suggesting we keep the same team that beat Lincoln?  "Don't change a winning team" and all that.

I've never gone along with it, but plenty do.

“We’d like to be in the position where we’re not responding but this group always do and I thought it was a really good away performance. We had a large amount of control, I don’t think other than the set plays and the direct play they didn’t really cause us many problems and I don’t know how many saves Luke (Southwood) really had to make.

“The goal was actually really good play and that’s why we play the way we do – we draw them under the ball and once we do create that space get in behind them quick, and Aaron Collins is a man on form at the moment.

“I asked the players to come out and show our DNA, what we have created. All of the players we signed with the exception of George Thomason, who we inherited but have developed, have all signed here because of the way we play. I wanted them to go out there and show that and I thought they did tonight.”

Same 11 then Saturday 😂

Surprisingly, IE has watched a different game to the one I've just endured 😀

And anyway, if he's using this competition as a yardstick, he's dafter than I thought.  Glorified training exercise.

And claiming Collins is on form, well that's what you'd expect him to say, how about saying he wants more from him in league games?

I’ll probably get pelters for this, but I get why he spoke like he did. Don’t get me wrong, it’s full of holes and  contradictions, but I’m not sure what else he can say in his position.

To come out with any criticisms or “realisms” (as we see them) after what he said on Saturday would be counter productive to what him and the players are trying to do.

He had to go on a charm offensive with the players, talk positively about what they did, how they played, in the (forlorn) hope that these wins provide some belief and confidence.

I don’t have time to find and quote your other posts. But I thought you made some really valid comments about previous target men we’ve had (even the poorer likes of Wilbraham and O’Grady) and how Inferior they make all our current tribe look at holding the ball up. It’s embarrassing how little the ball sticks if we play a longer ball forward.
