Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 25 Site Supporter Posted January 25 Main thing is to take the effort and desire to win into the game. No dropping off, because it may appear an easier game. Maybe Nolan will be interviewed afterwards! 🤣 Quote

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 26 Site Supporter Posted January 26 A disappointing victory, because they get a couple of shots away. 😒 Quote
Whitesince63 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 (edited) After yesterday the players should be well up for this one so I don’t see underestimating the Cobblers an issue. It will be interesting to see if Jules goes with the same team or tweaks a few things? Given the performance on Saturday I think it would be unfair to change anything, look where it got Evatt. MoM Forester would have been out for a start with Rico back in the middle and Baxter back in to provide the slowly slowly stuff? Thank goodness there’s no more of that. Wanderers to win this 2-0 but comfortably. Edited January 26 by Whitesince63 Quote
Rival Son Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I think we might be a little more adventurous. Perhaps Tutu at RWB, with one of Jones or Cogley stepping down. In addition, Randell for Lolos and/or McAtee in for Adeboyejo. Alternatively, just Randell for Adeboyejo, with Lolos given a forward role. Quote

A decent manager will see the bad things in a good performance, and the good things in a bad performance. Moreover, one of the biggest criticisms of Evatt was his inability to adapt to specific circumstances. Huddersfield away and Northampton at home are two different challenges. Quote
jeep Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I fucking hate mid-week night games...... But, I can't fucking wait for this..... 2-0 to Julian Darby's Super White Army...... 🤞 Quote

Also with the concentrated run of games having some flexibility is critical. Maybe give Sheehan some more time to gradually build him up. Let’s see if the spirit from Saturday can be carried over. Hopefully the feel good factor can get us moving. Our group is full turn out on Tuesday let’s see if we can get it like the EFL trophy game after FV first took over. Quote

Johnnyrotten Posted January 26 Posted January 26 4 hours ago, little whitt said: What do they say Don't change a winning Team Always seems like the lazy/easy option. If it worked everyone would go on a winning run after winning one, until a player was unavailable! A good manager will look at the opposition's formations and qualities, as well as his own, and pick the best side for that game. Not to mention maybe using a couple of "fresh" players, we're hardly weakened if we bring in Sheehan or Randall for Morley or Lolos. Quote

A specific move and a good one from JD to put Lolos and Vic in, away to those opponents, to help us compete physically up the pitch. Randall ought to able to be back in for Lolos at home v Cobblers Quote
