desperado Posted January 31 Posted January 31 (edited) I heard it was a full on Welsh assembly decision. On St David’s day they didn’t want Welsh folk having to keep switching to Welsh every time English folk walked into the pub. The early KO decision to get the English in/out early makes a lot of sense and will help the Welsh enjoy the day and reduce the humiliation English folk will feel in the Welsh pubs. marple whites Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Trains are a pain for this - might be drive, get in, 3 points and get out Quote

Trains in to Wrexham General arrive either half 10 (which feels daft early) or 11:42 which feels a bit dicey if there’s any issues on the trains Quote
Dr. Feelgood Posted January 31 Posted January 31 A 12.30pm ko gives little time for pre match drinks. I can give some advice for those in need. Post match, again, a good few options. Just ask. Town centre is a dead & alive hole, plus weird Welsh looking for a scrap. Just north of town there's a few good options. Quote

desperado Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Interesting that they are waiting till tonight's outcome before they make a decision on ticket sales for the league game. Buy your vertu ticket to be first in queue for the league game? 🤣 #count me in Quote
Big E Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Super fan points incoming for vertu trophy game. I went to watch the reserves there once. Does it count for my 92 or do I need to go again ? Quote

Johnnyrotten Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Or if you get one you're last in the queue for the other? Wrexham's so amazing its not fair if you go twice. Quote

Wetherspoons will be open which is about a 5 minute ish walk from the ground, always rammed on a match day mind but there's been many games this season with away fans in there. Over the road from the ground by the Petrol station is the Maes Gwyn which will be open early too. The Plas Coch pub on the retail park which you'll pass on the way in will be open from 11. I'd imagine they'll be a few other places in town open too. Loads of parking in town within 10 minute ish walk to the ground. 12:30 Ko's are crap. We've got another soon away at Northampton. P.s. All pubs are English speaking! 😆 Edited February 4 by Only In Welsh Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Plas Coch is too far away, think we'll just drink in The Turf, that's nice and close to the away end. Quote
