Burndens Bogs Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) Orient H Wrexham A Brum H Burton A Bristol Rov A A tough little run of games. How many points would you be happy with and how many do you think we'll achieve? Being realistic i'd be happy with 7 or 8 pts from that lot, anything better would be a Brucie bonus imo. waffer cup 07 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Draw with Brum, and 4 wins. Honestly think we can beat Wexham away, they were very poor in Verta Cup. Quote
jmjhb Posted February 16 Posted February 16 The next three are tough but all our opponents are playing midweek/weekend matches up to the time we play them. We should be fresh. Quote

So 11 points 👍 Quote
desperado Posted February 16 Posted February 16 8 points would keep us in the hunt and I think is realistic. Orient H - 1 Wrexham A - 1 Brum H - 0 Burton A - 3 Stockport H - 3 Quote

Matt Lofthouse Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Blackpool Wigan double header straight after these so 15 please. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Genuinely no reason that we can’t win all of these. The test will be making sure any dropped points are followed with a win. Quote

normski2 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Heart says 21 but betting head says 8 or 11 at best. Quote

I’m sure of it. Next five games are big - all tough in their own way but Stockport at home is the one I'd like to win most. Their fans love to rattle on about how they've never lost at the Reebok and there's the 5-0 to avenge. Then, as you say, those two. No win at Bloomfield Road in 16 league and cup attempts since 1977. We all know about Wigan. SS is winning the fans gradually already - results in those three would cement it for him and represent progress from the Evatt era. Quote

Parky knows how we set up but he wil also know that the Scouser will have a plan B (and possibly C) up his sleeve. Quote
Johnnyrotten Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I'd like to join in but what's happened to the Bristol Rovers away game (before Stockport)? Quote

That wasn't their team though. And we were poor too. I would hope SS would take no notice of that game when he's planning for the league. If we think we can win at Wrexham, logically we can win every game this season can't we? The only game that's on a par is Brum at home. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 16 Posted February 16 In the away league table, we're 7th, Orient 8th. In the home, we're 11th, and they are 6th. Don't kno what that means entirely, other than it appears to be a tough one. Quote

I've never heard of Vertu but was driving behind a range rover earlier that said vertu on the back So guessing it's a car thing like Bristol Street or something No real point to this post Just saying Quote

Orient H - 1 Wrexham A - 1 Brum H - 0 Burton A - 3 Stockport H - 3 2 points from next 3 isn't the usual optimism from you 😀 It could leave us well adrift, with a lot of tough games to come (and only 5 at home). We really have to win one of those, and preferably the one that's a 6 pointer. I'd have thought Orient was less of a task than Stockport, especially as that's a local derby/type of game we struggle in. Quote
