When I went to watch the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead about 20 years ago, every time there was a break in play (which seemed to be every 30 seconds for about 5 hours) they had people walking around the edge of the pitch firing t-shirts and hotdogs into the crowd with cannons. At half time there was a seat raffle thing where they'd read out a seat number, then the big screens would zoom in on them and they'd win a prize if they did a dance or something. It was fucking wank. Pretty sure there was a Mililtary brass band, and a cheerleader routine too.

94 was probably the worst World Cup in my memory (England not being there helps this) This will be better I’m sure as at least they play football now. The bar will be low.

I would be with you but for having had a heavy early bet on Brazil to win the World Cup at 5/1. You can imagine the scene in my house at the climax of that penalty shoot out.

Me dancing around the room at the new found wealth; the missus throwing an aubergine (mulignana in dialetto Napoletana) at me over the breakfast bar 

BTW I'll be backing Brazil and Argentina again to win it in the Americas.

I had Brazil and Ronaldo at 66-1 for winner and top scorer. Only had a tenner on though. Another fella had his winnings held back who put a bigger wedge on. Bang out of order. Amazing that them odds existed really but both were so bad at the time.
