Now he's sorted his match on match yellow cards, i actually think GT is one of our better players. He can see things and make passes others can't.

seriously?

time and time again he doesnt even lift his head up and boots it out of play

brainless

I didn’t mean to start a question on GT’s ability to be fair. I’m not his biggest fan but do think he’s been our best player in the last 2 games and his attitude (still flying around in the 92nd minute yesterday when others were stood around waiting for the whistle to blow) is commendable.

My point was more broad but @Tonge moor green jacket just happened to mention GT. Given our struggle to make space this summer, and the general agreement that we need plenty of new faces, would you keep any if a half decent bid came in (GT was also the only recent one for which that was the case). I think I’d happily let any of them go if it meant more space and money for SS’s recruits, possibly other than Morley.

Suppose it’s a roundabout way of answering the same question and I’ve even bored myself. Get Bonnie and Lily back

And Victor he’s out till this Xmas

We have a lot of damaged goods to try and offload, CMG is another, Tutu also (not convinced SS has the patience with his constant niggles)

Not sure I have the patience with him either. I don’t understand the clamour for him. He’s had one good game that I can see against Birmingham but other than that he’s either been out injured or at best average. He’s definitely not one you can rely on for me and would be one of the first out if we can find a move for him.

I think Coleman, Jones, Etete, Murphy, Santos are the definites for not seeing next year.

I can honestly make a case for the rest  staying. Not all of them, obviously.

Up to SS to figure out who.

The Baxter situation is a bit strange for me.

All season, there was no chatter about him staying, so the assumption was that he was off.

Then he makes the statement about wanting to stay shortly after SS arrives.

Still no information, even if he has regained to no1 shirt.

It's going to be an interesting few months coming up. Hopefully Schumacher has a solid, real plan, a formation he wants to install and an ideology that works. Get them in early for training, work those fundamentals and learn to be brick walls in defense, someone mentioned it in a different post about it being a shit league and the ones at the top defending like MFers and scraping a 1-0.

He's been and done it before withe Argyle, he knows what it takes and what's needed, I just hope he's able to get the players in and the right mindset for the ones he's stuck with to pull it off.

Yeh it is a strange one.

I’m fairly relaxed about whether he stays or goes TBH.

There’s a raft of them; Johnston, Dempsey, Sheehan, Toal, Forrester, Tutu, Collins, Morley and more, who on their day look really good L1 players, possibly could ply their trade in the championship.….

...but my God, they are so inconsistent! Just when you think they are the first name on the team sheet, they have a fucking stinker!

Baxter is the same

Thats why I’m not going to get too emotional about who should stay/go, because if SS thinks he can get them performing more consistently, with better players around them, then great.

But if he’d rather replace them, then I’m not going to argue.

With Dempsey. He seems to be getting played as an attacking midfielder..is he that?

He can play anywhere like a prime Stevie G if you believe some of the hype around him.

Strictly speaking, he’s a box to box midfielder (what they call an 8, these days). The midfielder who’s always primed to join the attack, but gets back when required.

Played the role to perfection in the EFL Trophy final against Plymouth.

I wouldn't say there was a "clamour" for him.  If he's had some praise, its because he's literally the only player in a squad of about 25 that has any pace, that the opposition need to worry about.  And he's possibly the only player with the ability to beat a player with pure skill (Matete beats a man with strength - I'd forgotten that was allowed for a BW player).

And if Desmond's only had one decent game, I must have imagined the other games where he's either assisted, scored or got an opponent sent off by beating him countless times.  He also turns defence into attack in the blink of an eye through pure pace to get from left back to the halfway line (compare that to Murphy or Johnston for eg).

Where I would agree completely is that he's not reliable fitness wise - he joins a lengthy BWFC queue there - and he very rarely turns up for away games (again, join the queue).

We all complain about lack of strength and pace in the team and so many are talking about getting rid of the only 2 players that possess either.

The fact we are still trying to peddle that midfield two seasons on says all you need to know about our ghastly recruitment.

This is a bit tongue in cheek, but you never know - if/when IE gets a job in the summer, our chances of getting rid of some our squad increases hugely!

Even if just on loan (he's unlikely to get a club that pays out proper transfer fees). We really do have a vested interest in him landing a reasonably sized L2 club or even better, L1.

I can't see a big queue of them wanting to play for him tbh

I'm thinking of players that have little or no chance here under SS - eg Lolos, Dan, Vic when fit, maybe Schon, even Randall.  They need to be playing games and they know IE rates them enough to have paid money for them, they don't have to like him.

They can all go for me. I know that isn't possible ,but I just don't feel any connection to any of these players anymore. Something stinks about this group, the manager needs to work out what/who is the issue and act swiftly to resolve it as early in the close season as possible. I fear things could turn ugly very quickly if we start next season as we have ended this one

unless they remember that he chucked them under the bus when trying to save his own skin
