Mrs Fogarty has been released from Salford Royal after her stroke/bleed. Progress has gone really well. Neurosurgeons were happy to hand her over to the stroke team for physio so she’s at home now and back to bollocking me.

Great news pal.

Tell her to take it easy x

Good news mate. Better nagging than not there at all.

Mrs Fogarty has been signed off from everyone after her stroke.

She's almost 100% back to normal. The next pysio slot the've got for her is in 6/8 weeks andthe physio reckons all being well she won't need it.

Thanks for everyones best wishes. They made a difference when things were looking bleak.

Great news mate, long may it continue ♥ 🙏

Stay strong for the better half, thinking of you all ♥

My Nana passed peacefully at home this morning exactly two weeks shy of her 103rd birthday.

She went out on her own terms, at home with a minimal amount of fuss.
She wasn't ill and wasn't in pain, her body finally gave up and now she's at peace.

Thank you all for your kind words and support.

Chris x

Thank you, I'm carrying the coffin and speaking at the church.
Be glad to get it over with, but I won't be going to the wake.

I'm glad yours went as well as it could.

Must apologise mate. Missed your original post about your nan. A great age.

Hope everything goes as dignified and smoothly as possible tomorrow.

Sincere condolences.

Not family but my co Director has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She caught it early but it's Grade 3 so that means quite a intensive chemotherapy treatment for 6 months.

She's only 44 - doing well but it's been a shocker. Sorting out insurance cover for not being able to work; but when illness hits for small businesses it's stressful for everyone - not least the person going through it.

Sorting out insurance ? Or sorting out claiming on the insurance ?

We had key man insurance when had my own business. Fortunately never needed which given my Business Partners health record is a miracle.

Edited as that sounded very cold, hope she makes a good recovery and your business is not too badly affected .

My step mum passed away over the weekend.

We were not close as we have hardly seen or heard from her since my dad passed away 10 years ago.

Only mentioning is we have 3 on the thread and we can now move on.
