Bonkers that!

Or are you here for a longer visit.

Hope we keep the Tickheads locked in the away end for 20 minutes after the game in a tit for tat kinda way

That's a tik from me.

They've had a good win today on the back of a good performance at Lincoln the week before.  Lowe's a good manager at this level and was my preferred replacement for Evatt at the time.  I'm usually wrong about stuff like that so hopefully Schuey will prove the board right, starting next week and finishing in May.

Aye, had Doncaster won they'd be top so definitely a good result

Just hope they've spaffed their load a week early

This is gonna be a long week. They aren’t very good and we will win 2-0. This isn’t the he Blackpool curse and solely an evatt loser mentality thing. He’s already beat em for ffs.

I am very concerned that we love giving away soft goals and they have a finisher in their ranks. Hopefully it all comes together and we bag a few

My lad has insisted I come to this, rather than Derby at home… go on then! 😂

Come and get the match bus with us. Someone usually has a spare.

Well here we are again, 6 months older and deeper in debt.

Where to start ? ...this is a tough one to call. I would not be surprised if all 3 results happened i think its that close.

I don't know a lot individually about your new lads but look hard to beat going off the results but not converting dominance into wins .

We have also acquired some good players but the most important thing is we have Matt Smith fit again as he makes a lot of difference.  If you allow him to do his thing we will win this...if you stop him you win.

We played Doncaster off the park yesterday and should have won by 5 and he ran the show.

All of that said the biggest asset you should have is a collective intent because if you go into the game ( as a team and support ) with a half arsed its just another game it tips the balance our way. If nothing else we are coming right up for it and bang in fettle.

Apart from bragging rights the season won't be decided Saturday so if offered a draw right now I think I would take it.

As always stay safe if a little on the dejected side come Saturday afternoon.

A fair assessment on us. Seems we are split on how we perceive this match @Rubberkex it’s clearly the big one for a lot on here but it’s a derby and 3 points for me. No real rivalry. I know one Wigan fan who is from a Bolton supporting  family.

We seem to have had similar starts and I think home advantage will be big for us as both seem better at home. We should be aiming for a win as I suspect you feel you should.

I genuinely believe our frailties of years gone by again yourselves are squarely at Evatts door.

I’m at an Oktoberfest event straight after and if it had stayed at 3pm I think I’d of sacked it off for my phone/tele.

I don’t actually know any Wigan fans but the idea of sitting there hearing “it’s happening again” from 3,000+ of them makes me feel ill.

It’s a massive game, not just because it’s them but because a win turns it into a decent enough start whereas a loss makes it a poor start.

I think this game will personally tell whether this recent undefeated streak has been a positive or negative one.

We've simply got to beat these and got to cut out the odd mistake that's ultimately leading to so many points dropped.

I think it's less about how we think of it and more about how they think of it

We should expect them to be bang up for it and so so should we

Will be flat as a pancake all 12:30 kick offs are. Stockport barely a murmur from anyone. @Lt. Aldo Raine is right in only arsed the players are up for it

A 9 o clock breakfast in Nam Ploy should help with that 😂.

Big game.

Big performance required.

Take the Wigan factor out of it, the difference between a win and loss is dramatic.

Win, and this 9 game start is a good, solid one. Lose and it’s a really poor one.

So another 1-1 😂

But I’m past dismissing this game as just another league game. Our result there last season tells us that much.

You can’t really take this Wigan factor out of it. Again the difference between a win/loss for both sides and fan bases is pretty dramatic next week.

Unlike Blackpool this is a fixture in the more normal derby template were home/away advantage seems not to count for as much. We are all too aware of our recent appalling home record against this shower of shit. Even though we have only recorded the one win, our away form against them is much more stable. They can no longer claim an unbeaten 10 year record against us overall - but they still claim not to have lost at ours for that length of time. It needs putting to rights.

They are going to be a handful. Not the best side in the division but decent enough and always massively up for it in this fixture. We have to match that before we talk about anything else and we need to avoiding swanning in to this game like its any other.

I worry about us going a goal down - but if that happens I hope we as fans keep behind the team.

At the very least here is hoping the tame surrenders of the Evatt era are a thing of the past.

However we end up, I expect us to finish the season with a very good home record against teams below mid-table. Too much pace in the side creating too many openings.

That's what Wigan are, and so I expect us to win.

But overall, I'm not interested in who we're playing or how we're playing at the minute, we just need to string some wins together.

Might be one for the politics threads, but how can GMP not cope with us playing a 3pm v Wigan, but the Met managed to have every London club bar QPR playing within London yesterday, plus all the march malarkey!
