Eddie Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I’m so confused with the date situation for this. Has it actually firmed up yet? Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Yeah you’d have to imagine it’s all confirmed now with a week to go for Burton. Ridiculous situation, really, but as mentioned it’s elsewhere it’s pretty much unique to only League One. Quote

Yes that was me, I know in theory it can happen to L2 but in L1 its about a 50/50 chance (half the L1 games next week are off). There is one L2 game off, Notts County had 3+ call ups. Only getting a week's notice that its going ahead is a joke, and is the difference between me going and not going, as I've made other arrangements on the basis of not knowing. The whole charade starts again in a few weeks for the Stevenage game (I'm not claiming I'd be going to that one under any circumstance 😀). Quote

The Stevenage one is a proper pain in the arse as we’ve got hotels booked either in Stevenage or Llandudno depending on which way it goes. If the game goes ahead then we’ve also got gig tickets to get rid of in Llandudno! Quote
Stig Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Glad I took the gamble on Burton being the Saturday over this now. Although does mean I'm going to Burton again Quote
Dr. Feelgood Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I had no idea Alfie bloody May played for these mon. His family must have moved ! Quote

For us from Leeds Stevenage should be a good as can get an inter city type train direct from Leeds , but can not book in advance in case gets moved and price will rocket. Quote
Domcarey1 Posted October 5 Posted October 5 They’re calling for Grant’s head already at Huddersfield. What a surprise that a rookie manager who tries to Pep his way out of this league is heading for failure. Hope he stays for 1 more home game 🤞 Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Football is often about IFS and BUTS - BUT IF we win our next two we are guaranteed to be in at least 4th place and only 2 points from the top Quote

I hadn’t realised a lot of those teams above us have their games postponed. And that we’ll play 2 games before their next one. Good opportunity to put ourselves right up there. Think we’d all start to believe that our promotion challenge was gathering momentum. I dread to think of the alternative reaction if we are in the same position having played two more games! Quote

That's the kind of pressure that a group of players with aspirations to be at the top of the league come May should relish. And the manager in my opinion should drum into them Quote
Zico Posted October 11 Posted October 11 I'm moving onto this rather than dwelling on Burton some changes needed as just posted, I'd honestly go with Miller in goal even though in the one game I've seen him in he was shocking Conway not been at the races, so Taylor worth a start not Morley, so I suppose Sheehan definitely not Cissoko, so Forss in I'd have no issue giving Dalby another start but for the fact it means Burstow not playing up top where he's been excellent though I wouldn't drop Dalby, if it meant bringing either McAtee or Randall in behind Burstow - so a tough one that down the pub so will probably just end up chatting shit with mates and barely watching it anyway Quote
L/H White Posted October 11 Posted October 11 anyone want my ticket I'd like to see Dempsey back involved Not expecting much 2-1 Hudds Quote

He’s got physicality and pace, both of which Johnstone doesn’t have. Miller and Forss back in. Maybe even Tutu in that LW position. Quote
Duck Egg Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Just put 11 behind the ball and do anything to keep a clean sheet. Get a couple of 0-0s in our next away games then start to build from there. What will actually happen, we'll start brightly and carve out a couple of chances before conceding to their first effort on our goal. Quote
