League is our stated priority so it will be interesting to see how SS goes in this, especially after modifying our approach for the Cardiff game. Not sure if he asked the lads to play that  more defensive way specifically because it was Cardiff - although I reckon Sheehans improved performance had something to do with the Welsh thing - or whether he is modifying the teams approach in general  to make us more solid but if it is the latter, it may affect what he tries in the cup. Time will tell.

Unless there’s a bit of cloak and dagger going on (which can’t be ruled out after the pre Northampton presser), I’ve not interpreted what’s been said (or not been said) as Dempsey being injured or not fit to play.

All the others mentioned this week haven’t been training previously.

He’s been pictured training with the first team for a few weeks and has played in a few games.

Iles thinks we’ll see him play tomorrow.

I think they are just being cautious and taking their time with him.

has he had any B team games or anything?

only game i can think of is the second half v City in EFL trophy, five and a half weeks ago

not even been on bench since

SS said 6 weeks, 9 weeks ago

I’ll be honest I’m not sure when he’s played.

But there’s definitely been pictures of him training (and fully integrating by the looks of it) with the first team.

My Udders mate down here seems to have chucked it in.

"I hope you thrash us then we can get rid of this shit manager".

my huddersfield mate said he's been given a vote of confidence so now expects a heavy defeat

Currently no interest in this game whatsoever, we'll be at low noise fireworks display at The Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire.

The result alongside my hatred of other people and especially their kids will determine how I feel afterwards.

The team Schu picks tomorrow will be interesting as I don’t think there will be as many changes as some think. He’s not going to leave players two weeks without a game so whilst he’ll certainly leave a couple or so out I’d be surprised if it’s that many. I think he’ll use the Oldham game for major changes as he certainly won’t want to lose against the Terriers.

On the other hand we have a lot of "first team" players that just haven't been picked in recent games (or injured) and if they don't play this week they'll have gone not 2 weeks without a start but over a month.  Eg Forino, Morley, Dalby.  And there's a reasonable case for Cissoko, Taylor and Randall getting a chance for Tutu, Conway and Forss.

None of those changes would severely weaken us and in some cases would arguably strengthen us, as nobody knows who's turn it will be to shine on a given day.

Don’t the club film every match for wanderers TV though even if it’s not streamed so it can be watched later?

They can film every home match but need permission to put it on Wanderers TV or Youtube as they have in the past from whoever runs the particular competition . The club needs permission to film away from home . This isnt much of a problem but in the 90s certain clubs wouldnt allow cameras in for "press coverage" such as Watford , Luton and a few others.

I remember Watford wouldnt let Kick-Off film for one of our league cup matches therr.

It looks like there's about 50 seats left, and not many options if you want 2 or more together.

At what stage do they make the ground breaking decision to maybe open another part of the ground and encourage a bit more take up?

It was only 35-25 matey. Don't let it spoil more than one day.

I’ve decided to splash on seats in the 1877 Suite for this.

Clear them up after you have splashed on them .

What do these games all have in common related to today’s FA cup game between Bolton v Huddersfield, two bastions of English football tradition?

Motherwell v St Mirren - Scottish League cup semi-final

Falkirk v Kilmarnock - Scottish premiership

Chelsea v London City - Women’s super league

Libya v Afghanistan - Women’s international friendly

Arbroath v Ross County - Scottish Championship

Cove Rangers v Peterhead - Scottish L1

Elgin v Annan - Scottish L2

North Lower?

Surely that, than turn folk away.

Like you say, they could do with putting out that message early to encourage a few more walk-ons.

Got mine yesterday at about 1pm, they said they were approaching 5k. Perhaps they should have made that decision yesterday.

I thought about 6k total attendance today, so I can see why they are edging their bets  - is that about par for us in recent times for early round FA cup matches?

Very true it’s a tough one for SS and of course some of our loans may not be allowed to play to prevent being cup tied? It’s a bonus in a way having both this and the Oldham game to rest players so let’s hope we get through this today then we’ve two more similar games we can use to freshen the fringe players up.
