Wanderlust Posted November 3 Posted November 3 What could possibly go wrong? Despite Darren Moore’s assertion that they are better than their league position suggests, all the signs are that they are there for the taking on Saturday and I can’t imagine any of us would not be disappointed with anything less than 3 points, especially after our recent heroics. As the old adages go, it’s 11 against 11, any team in this league can beat any other team on their day etc etc…but we don’t want to think about that do we? What we want to see is an improved performance, a professional attitude, a clean sheet, goals and a statement win that sets us up for the theoretically tougher run of games ahead. Bring it on. Quote
Zico Posted November 3 Posted November 3 5-0 @ 66/1 Not even bothering with Port Vale/Bolton @ 22/1 Quote
Ani Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Watched the start of their home game v Stockport they looked decent going fwad. Should have been 2 up before Stockport scored. Got to win this though. Quote
Winchester White Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I'm taking the youngest to his first Wanderers game for this. He has shown zero interest in watching never mind playing football all his life, so aged 14 is a little late. 😂 Quote
woolli Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Faal nailed on to score, they also have Devante Cole, who as caused us problems in the past with Barnsley, so this is not a dead cert, but surely we need to be beating teams like this, especially at home! Quote

Brainwashed by his Mum and Nan to complain when footy is on the telly. Quote

Its not that Faal. He got a move to Crawley last year but didn't make an appearance, went to Worthing and is now at Waterford in Ireland. This one is on loan from Wrexham (who paid £500k for him). Devante Cole was never going to be good enough for WBA (Ismail took him there after having him at Barnsley) but surprised he's not got a top half L1 club, he's always looked half decent. Quote

It's not our old Faal btw. He's playing in Ireland where he's not scored in 5 for Waterford. tbf to him though he knows how to score at non-league level. After us he did nothing at Barnet but then 2021–2022 Enfield 43 (35) 2022–2024 Havant & Waterlooville 66 (28) 2024 Crawley League 2. but zero first team appearances 2024 Maidstone 20 (7) 2024–2025 Worthing 37 (13) Edited November 3 by Dr. Feelgood Quote

I don't miss those early Saturday starts in mid winter in the arse end of Bury or wherever one bit. Quote

Whitesince63 Posted November 3 Posted November 3 No need to be overly worried about these as long as we turn up but they’re no mugs and from what I’ve seen of them I tend to agree with Darren Moores assertion that they’re better than their position suggests. Let’s just hope their turnaround starts after this Saturday? Quote
jmjhb Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Like Hudds, I thought they did some decent business over summer but it doesn't seem to have clicked for them yet. Hopefully a routine 2-1 win. Quote
freds dad Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I’m missing this as SWMBO booked 2.30 theatre tickets instead of 7.30 as she was told. Grounds for divorce? Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Third home game in a row I’m posted missing (shit fan), so definitely a win coming. Quote

frank_spencer Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Me and my mate KD will be flicking the Vs at each other from opposite ends of the ground all game. A handsome win so I can take the piss next time we meet up. Quote
