A bollock from the keeper can happen . Looking at how Exeter are so defensive minded , did we need Erahon ? maybe another attacking midfielder would work better .

Must be slippy out there , with certain players unable to keep their feet Burstow not had a pass , Forss maybe 1 more than that , and again we are a bit shot shy .

Dempsey and Gale first to come on .

Anyhoo, Exeter.

My guess is Caldwell will start with just one striker and there’s a 50-50 chance that will be a now 35 year old Josh Magennis - depends if they go with his preferred box midfield to stifle us and try to hit us on the break

First goal could make a huge difference either way and I just hope it’s us or it could turn into a long afternoon.

Everything is going to plan for Caldwell - especially as we’ve gifted them a lead to defend - although I reckon his plan would have been the same even without the bonus goal. He knew we’d be in possession from the off.

He selected Magennis to start, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets hooked as the game goes on in favour of pace and trickery - may even chuck Higgins on up front?
So here we go again - pushing for goals, not enough shots and potentially susceptible at the back. An early goal would reset the tone.

Teams playing a low block and defending like fucking dogs is not us playing Evatt ball.

400 passes to 100 suggests different!

I just don't think they'll feel particularly threatened by us and will defend this lead no problem

That’s everybody’s concern - it’s all well and good “playing some good stuff” unless you stick the ball in the net.

It's been done to death but that's exactly the idea of a low block.

Unless you start lumping crosses in, which they'll eat up, there's not much else we can bar be patient and try and find the gaps.

Every team in the land struggles with this kind of shit.

It's bloody horrendous.
