Didledee Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Still a few weeks left of the transfer window, can we even afford to let him go? results are shocking. Quote
Eddie Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Keep him for the Wigan game - beating them is the one thing he can do! Quote
kent_white Posted January 10 Posted January 10 We're still 6th somehow. He has till the end of the season for me to show that he's moving us in the right direction. I can accept us not going up this season as long as the squad and the understanding between them improves. About 8 weeks ago I was pretty thrilled with how we were doing. So I might feel the same way the other way around in another 8. Quote

Zog1 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I can't get around my head that you would win League One with Plymouth with a certain set of tactics, come back to League One at Bolton, and then play totally different set of tactics. If it was just a little experiment at the start of the season that wasn't working, i could understand but it's never really worked especially away from home. Plus with it not working you'd then expect a manager to revert back to the League One winning tactics he'd used before. It doesnt make sense. There's no logic to it.  Quote

This is rather contradictory. How did we beat Plymouth 4-0 if they were playing the same tactics and style that we were playing? It's almost like football is a game played by humans, and every one of them can have a bad day/week/month. Quote
Duck Egg Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Someone on another thread mentioned that Birmingham home game last year. Hard to believe we've gone from that, to ripping up the days plans 40 minutes into a game. I've lost faith in him and most of the players but I don't think we should sack him. Yet. Quote

It's a moot point, if anything him using 3 different styles and tactics at 3 different clubs shows good adaptability and understanding of the players at his disposal. It's the one thing that's gives me hope he can turn around this bad run with some tweaks, although I'd like to see them happen soon because it's getting very concerning. Quote
green genie Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Before you get too excited about tactics you thumped at Wembley as Evan treated it as a cup final and we had a nice day out Quote
Tombwfc Posted January 10 Posted January 10 We won't and I understand the arguments why, but I'd get rid. He hasn't for one second looked like a man capable of taking us up, so him being here is just killing time until we try something else. Our best chance of getting up this season is riding a new manager bounce and seeing where that momentum could take us. Quote
Krimzon Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Keep SS . But before any talk of sacking I wanna hear realistic replacements . Quote

If people think watching us at the minute is tough, I couldn't imagine dragging myself to games to watch the style of play his sides implement. Quote
1969 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I voted stay but things need to improve quickly.I'd give him the season and if things don't then get rid. Also just read on face ache fans calling for Lowe.Jesus fucking Christ if you want that then I'm sorry there's no hope for you.Im speechless regarding some of our so called fans Quote

So people can say they're crap/won't come? When people say a player is shit and we need to do better, nobody asks for a scout report on who we're buying instead. SS plainly isn't getting the best out of this team. Quote

only1swanny Posted January 10 Posted January 10 We're where we should be, we're not going to rip the league, it's a battle and we might just get there at some point  Quote
Farnywhite Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) I would leave him were he is for now let him trim the squad down in Jan as promised . last thing we need is a new manager giving them another chance. Then see if he can do anything with a smaller squad then change in the summer when we don’t go up  keep the budget for then Edited January 10 by Farnywhite Quote
