waffer cup 07 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Definately owe them one, after they beat us at their's. On paper we've got the easier match of the clubs in the top eight. Nothing less than 3 points. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 25 Posted January 25 They pull out some decent results, then some bad ones. Be lovely to get ahead early, win comfortably, and not have to be scrapping for a late winner, leaving fans with bitten nails to the last. Quote

Marc505 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Fearing a 0-1 here, but hoping we can battle and grind to a win by any possible means. Quote

Ani Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) Did not realise of the top 9 , the other 8 are all playing each other. Fuck apart from Stockport but they are away as Mr Evatts lot so assume Randel will rip them apart. Edited January 25 by Ani Quote

burnden Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Be nice to get a couple of new bodies through the door to freshen it up before this one. Quote

Bertie Posted January 25 Posted January 25 First game for 3 months after family illness/bereavement. Hate watching these guys (Burton not us) - any win has been a scrape and a tough watch. Hoping for a 3-0 coast for a change 🤞. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 25 Posted January 25 That would be wonderful, though I suspect you'll need a lot of hope! Condolences by the way. Quote

Hope it's a good one for you. Quote
thebells Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Yesterday’s display was poor. And a massive factor in this was the number of games we’ve played compared to Orient. Burton played on Thursday and have two days extra rest. And they’ve played 5 games in 25 days compared to our 7. This will be a factor and the crowd need to be patient. Expect a few changes to freshen up. Possibly Dempsey, Sheehan and Forino in. We ‘should’ win but I think it’ll be another turgid 90 minutes. Quote

Burton’s 5 included Reading, Plymouth and Lincoln away and Huddersfield at home. We’ve had a squad that has been so big, with so many not able to fit even in the match day 17 that we’ve been happy to trim it down - I can’t imagine Burton have that luxury. We’re 3rd and they’re 20th I accept there needs to be patience and to be honest, any win will do, but this idea that we’re hard done to with the number of games is a bit overly defensive of the team / performances. We weren’t shit on Saturday because we’d played 2 more games since Boxing Day compared to Orient - we couldn’t have wished for a better / easier run over the traditionally hardest part of the season. We were just a bit shit, but we won. Quote
