Whites Away - Pre season tour 26/27

I’ve never really bothered with pre season games abroad that much but, still on the high from Wembley, I’m popping to Slovakia with lad & dad on 17th July to watch us play (as we’re away for all other friendlies)

Theres an official thing with destinology but i’m booking our own route.

For those thinking of heading over, it’s worth noting that Dunajská, where the game is at, is about 2 hours away from Bratislava on the train. Hotels in Dunajska are cheap as chips (£90 for a triple room with breakfast) for the day of the game on the 17th & saves the hassle of getting back to the capital after the game.

Hopefully he as been brought in as at least 2 may be 3rd choice or something once the window as shut . If he is first choice we all should be worried

Well at least we haven’t signed him to a long contract and if he doesn’t improve he can go back in January.

How many times have we heard "He's fucking shit" after watching a new player for 45 minutes, and they turn out to be superb once they get settled? You knee-jerk idiots will never learn.

Sure someone said in an interview he doesn't speak much English, it's going to take time.

Schuey doesn't look a happy fella in that interview.

Dong, for no reason, reminded me of when we signed another foreign winger we'd never heard of for this level.

Wellington Silva (Brazilian). Blowing hot and cold on the left wing, that's all I can remember.

Is there a problem with our bloody ticketing site??

Tried laptop ipad and Iphone

Visually our ST tickets are available but when I click on them it gives me a different seat number

Also if I hover too long it selects that seat for me

Finally on Iphone I have managed to select seats close to ST seats but wont let me pay for the buggers

Not sure we can read a whole lot in to that. Real mix and match eleven. Inwood looked composed on the ball but there was a spell mid second half were both those young centre halves were exposed with no midfield protection.

Is anyone else of a certain age getting Steve McAnespie throwbacks when watching David Watson run around a football pitch?

McAnespie's 'performance' at home against West Ham still gives me shivers. Out of his depth by a million leagues that fella

Cold November day ... 0-3. Remember it well.

Nah be like Julio Geordio , mastered slang by the end of the season.

Both aren’t ready for championship that’s if they ever will be.

That means they'll both be playing for Wrexham in a couple of years! 😀

Cant see it but never know. Theyre meant to be opening a new stadium next summer though (believe it when you see it in Italy), shame to move away from the one surrounded by canals that would have been great!

More likely they come here.

Who are we playing the 2 closed doors games against this week?

Wigan and trashmere?

Maybe we'll give Barca a ring

Lost 4-2 to evertons under 21s behind closed doors today.

Wanderers: Harrington; Larrazabal (trialist HT), Christie, Toal (O’Neill HT), Conway (Oliver 74); Warren (trialist 30), Watson, Irwin (Leigh 74), Dong (Lewis 60); Randell (Forss HT, King 74), McAtee (Lawrence 60).

That suggests Forss is injured again

Two others off at half time too- including Toal.

Bringing them back slowly maybe.

Forss might not be getting a gig here neither, just fitness.

Forss was brought on at HT and then brought off before the FT, and he's played often enough to not be in the same position as Toal

We probably won't sign him but I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually did either

Warren was another who didn't play a full half so who knows

... &, possibly, Warren who was replaved by a trialist on 30 minutes. (Apoligies, just seen the comment on a post above)

We may sign him, but I'd hope if we did it would be part of a flurry of announcements. If his was the next transfer announcement in isolation, people's heads would fall off 😄
