I’m Daryl, based locally, and I run Dazlling AI. I'm not here to bullshit anyone or sell them crap. I'm an experienced techie looking for a break.. I've got ADHD and I've always wanted to simplify stuff. Let's be honest nobody can be arsed with other complicated stuff or paying for stuff they don't need..

I help small businesses use AI and automation in ways that are actually useful, rather than just throwing “AI” at everything and hoping for the best.

A few examples of what I do:

Daz One Notes — turn a quick voice note after a job into structured customer notes, materials, payments, follow-ups and next actions.

Document retrieval / private AI knowledge — make it much easier to find answers across company documents, procedures, manuals and internal information.

Business systems and automation — tidy up clunky processes, reduce repetitive admin and connect things together properly.

Business audits — I can look at how your business currently works, where time is being wasted, what keeps getting missed, and where AI or automation might genuinely help.

Custom tools — if you’ve got an awkward process that doesn’t fit off-the-shelf software, I can help design something around the way you actually work.

I’ve worked in IT, software, infrastructure and support for over 20 years, so I’m much more interested in solving real problems than selling people shiny shit they don’t need.

A big part of what I’m building is aimed at trades, sole traders and small service businesses where the actual work gets done, but the admin ends up living in WhatsApp, notebooks, scraps of paper and somebody’s head. But I can help anyone.

I'm an AI ludite, but kudos for having a go.

My neighbour's lad became poorly recently and had to stop his job.

Him and his mate are creating an app for the building trade, and he has also launched some sort of site about his illness.

It's unusual and he already has people contacting him and using his site as a tool in their endeavours.

Stick with it and all the best.

Thanks mate. Yeah, I've got a fair bit of experience in AI and I covered it in my degree when I went back at 34 just as ChatGPT was taking off!

It's tough and to be honest I'm probably going to have to start cold messaging people etc. Which in not comfortable with to be honest.

So I'll probably get that on YouTube and Instagram.

Basically the main app I've got at the moment is a voice notes for small business and sole traders like tradesmen, florists that kind of thing, that can fill job fields and then log it as a job or send it to invoice. It's really cool as I've made it much more accurate than voice apps tend to be, even with my thick accent 🤣 you can see it autocorrect the fields even when the voice AI has made a mistake because I added a second (much bigger LLM) AI review it.

I'm adding integration with Google so you can have it set calendar reminder. I have ADHD so I made something I'd find useful.

I seen something last week, where someone was going through google to find local businesses, and any without a website, he was calling them and offering to build them websites through AI
