number 9, if a motorbike and a holiday take priority over your club then you dont deserve a United ticket.

simple as that.

I was 23 before I bought my first car because before than every penny I had spare went on following bolton and england.

priorities lad, priorities.

for the first time smiffs i,m going to agree with u, its not that far from where he lives to get here every 2 weeks or so

Stan, If for some strange reason you had decided to support Derby instead of Bolton, you didn't have a car or much money [i'm guessing at 17 years old. . .ish!] could you afford to travel down every couple of weeks to watch them? I couldn't do that now!

There are plenty of people who, for one reason or another feel that the cost of their entertainment is unjustifiabally high. I agree. How I pine for the days of yore when a shiney 50p bit would see you hop over the turnstile at Burnden, having caught a 2p bus from home into town and then walking the rest of the way.

Top and bottom is; football is pricing itself away from us, the footy fan and towards them, the corporate fat-twats!

You could get anywhere on GMT for a single journey for 2p in those days Micky couldn't you? Mind, juniors at Burnden then were under 14s, not even under 16s and nobody had even thought of discounts for students.

And smiffs, some of us couldn't afford to buy a car until we'd made a 6K profit on selling our first house in just on 18 months of property ownership :D

Why thankyou!

Im on daft education training allowance thingy so my disposable income a week is about 50 quid (after food, bus fares, etc) last time I looked it cost about 35/40 quid to get to Bolton by train from 'ere. So that every other week, + the cost of my season ticket....it aint guna happen is it! I'll come see as often as possible but unless your so passionate about this you all wana have a whip round and buy me a ticket and a car, its not gunna be that often!

There is an important pint in this thread.

The likes of number9 are part of a generation that will be lost to football.

It aint as easy as it used to be to just pop down to a game so people go less and as such are less passionate.

when push comes to shove they will choose to do other things so when sky turn round and cut the amount they put into the game there will be nothing to replace them and the game will be fucked.

might be the best thing that can happen, instead of multi millionaire playera, managers and agents football might return to its roots.

in fact that sounds ragging brilliant.

Woo woo woo.

Matchday prices at Forest are ??25-??31

Matchday prices for Wanderers are approx the same.

So rather than go to the Forrest game there is no reason why you cannot go to every other Bolton game.

I think you should be watching your local team anyway.
