Best ever playground rumours

Mr Eckersley, Mr Broxholme and Mr Ireland lived in a gay kibbutz in Astley

Stephen Taylor had a shit into a urinal and when pulled up for it blamed it on a squirrel that came in through the window while he was having a piss

Mr Grantham was from MI5 and doing uncover drug work whilst pretending to teach IT

The black lad in our year was son of a high up Nigerian politician and only came to our school so he wasn't assassinated at home

There was a girl who had a scalp problem which made her hair fall out, one day she came in with a full head of hair, couldn't possibly be a wig, oh no, she was cured because she liked having spunk rubbed into her head

I did my A-Levels there as well, finished 6th form in June 2000. From St Marys to Bradford, out of the frying pan, into the fire.

There was this rumour that if you did well in your exams you'd make loads of money and have a cracking career.

so much for that one....

:^o might give me a bloody complex for the rest of my life though!!

I trust the Mr Ireland name made you think that. I also went to THS. Left in 1978 although I'm sure a similar thread has been done about who went where and which school was hardest and stuff.

One for the older posters here.

Fortean times last year had letters about how back in the early to mid (or indeed maybe late?) 70s in the playgrounds of the NW the rumour was that you could go to a call box, dial a certain number and up would come a spooky message to effect of "get help, Susie's dying" or summat like that. It rang a bell with me...anyone else??

I remember this. Was a bit weird - someone dying on the other end of the phone. But thing it was a bit muffled.... in reality I don't think it was anything suspect - just strange

Was it not something like "waiting for tester", and it sounded like "waiting for Tessa"?

Anyway, our maths teacher, Miss Jerstice, was a lezzer. And Mr Donnelly at Moorgate liked boys.
