Think most will want a one night stop for both games preferably stopping the night of the game.

Spoke to the company, who know the business inside out.

 

They would prefer to go out Wednesday and come back after the game.

They also don't expect many to travel out there with it being short notice.

 

Why Wednesday you ask? - The police close lots of pubs/bars down following some games and Instanbul may get a bit 'hairy' after the game. So it would make more sense to leave and get back on the plane having enjoyed ourselves the night before the game where it will be more relaxed.

The last trip was excellent the way it was and the first flight home after the game also great (also had the option of going in work the day after if needed).

 

Like you say most places stop serving beer on the day of the game, so unless we are travelling way out it may be a"dry one" after the game and a long evening with no beer.

 

As for Portugal depends on what time the flight home is the 2nd day and the same could apply about the beer.

 

Put at least two down for Turkey and there looks to be about 6 for Portugal
