he's up elton wife'

Was it not one of our matches against Trashmere?

Even though he was a prize one cock on screen, he seemed to take it in good humour when interviewed on one of the Roadrunner videos

I remember a televised Tranmere match, just after the papers had announced that Eltons wife had left him and run off with another bloke.

Best song (to the tune of who put the ball in the scousers net) was

Who's had their d*ck up Eltons wife,

Who's had their d*ck up Eltons wife,

Who's had their d*ck up Eltons wife,

Super John McGinlay.

After which you could see JM laughing before applauding the terrace.

Quality!

Remember really hating Rob Macaffrey and Jim Beglin too at one point, almost as much as Elton himself. Don't mind either of them now!

same happened to Neil Pointon when we played Oldham one time after his wife had done one, can't really remember much else, except a bad mullet, on Pointon

Was deffo Tranmere. Think it was the one with the not-very-well-done minutes silence for Matt Busby. :D

Still got it on video last time I looked but kids are growing up fast and they may have recorded over it by now!

Yep it was v Tranny, could have been New Years day or some public holiday??

Beglin always has and always will be a f??ckwit - stealing a living, same as Elton. Always thought Mcaffrey was alreet.

The Elton Welsby chant was in a live televised game against Nottingham Forest. It started as soon as the ball was kicked off and went on for at least ten minutes. The same thing happened at the start of the second half. The hatred towards Welsby stemmed from a Friday evening North West football show he presented on Granada. It seemed like 80% of every programme was given to coverage of Tranmere and the average viewer could be forgiven for thinking that Bolton were not in the North West such was the abysmal coverage even though Bolton at that time were a more successful club than the Wirral team.

The minute's silence for Busby took place at another televised game by Granada. I can't remember the opposition. However when the minute's silence started, a chorus of Hate Man Utd started and the booing became so loud that Granada turned down the sound on their transmission.

Always thought Mcaffrey was alreet.

some didn't, hence him being coined at cambridge v bwfc

I never said I was fully representative of all BWFC fans; otherwise none would wear Burberry check or do that ridiculously w??nk "easy, easy" chant

Never been a big fan; some bits are amusing I can't deny that, but to me a lot of it is typical 'new football', i.e. a poncey mockney tw??t presenter who is a new-breed Chelsea fan, called Timothy.

All part of Sky's 'let's try to dictate what football is and does' mentality.

I've got to praise Soccer AM for actually showing the good bits in games - skill, great goals, fook ups etc from all league levels and generally to a decent soundtrack. The guy with the nose and the Bolton lad are also funny.

However, the constant "love-in" / ??rse licking, that ugly southern bint and constantly repeated gags do get on my tits.

All in all it's worth watching pre-match if you've a hangover. Having said that we don't play Sat 3pms anymore...

Kick Off used to be a great programme

Gave good publicity to local clubs

Good time 6.30-7.00 on Friday just before I went out for a drink

Remember when John Bond went to Burnley and they interviewed the fans. They fcukin hated him from the start. Great TV

the cambridge v bolton was on the tuesday after easter monday remember it well my brother hired a transit for the all the lads from t&w van hire in farnworth told the hire company we were going fishing got spotted off footy inteligence in cambridge when he took it back they played a recorded message to him off the police so couldnt deny we hadn't been there so they kept the deposit
