July 8, 200620 yr Who is your player of the tournament? Mine is Gattuso of Italy closely followed by Cannavaro. I hated the little f??cker Gattuso when he was at Ibrox but he has been exeptional in every game I have seen him so far. The biggest let downs have been, in no particular order... Ronaldinho, Beckham, Rooney (sorry lads but he did f??ck all) and the spaniards as usual.

July 8, 200620 yr Author fair enough Rooney was injured and did make a hell of a good recovery but he did nothing in the matches, through mostly no fault of his own. He was played up front on his own which isn't his position. Perhaps I was a bit harsh.
July 8, 200620 yr Cannavaro. Absolutely immaculate, best defensive displays I've seen since the days of Baresi, and I'll admit I thought he was past his best.
July 9, 200620 yr Cannavaro by a country mile. He could be up for grabs on a season-long loan when Juventus get fucked next week, too. He'd be decent cover for Tal Ben and Jaidi. 8-[
July 10, 200620 yr Zidane for me. After a poor first game was superb against Spain Brazil. Blotted his copybook with the headbutt. However you can't say he lost them the game. Only 9 mins left when he got the red card & they way Italy were defending I thought it would have gone to pens regardless.
