Englands acadamy my arse

Interesting one this. MSI who are the owners of Corinthians are well known to be a front for some less than savoury Russians. A South American friend of mine told me some time back that Corinthians were believed to be being used to launder vast sums of money. Apparently a number of European clubs have been put off buying from them due to fear of being associated with the controversy.

Fair play to West Ham these two will be magnificent signings for them. Forgive my suspicious nature but when West Ham went down I thought they were on their uppers and even after the transfer fees they received they were still skint now as they have only done one season in the Prem when they spent a lot of money where the f ... is this money coming from ?

Loan deals aint they?

Loan deals aint they?

Yep sorry just read that. It rather puts our signing of Anelka into the shade doesn't it ? How the feck have they pulled this off ?

they havent.........................yet

Yes and they can afford it as they have 40 thousend people a game and the fact is that when they sold all of there big name players they didn't need to spend the money on anything because they had allready paid for the stadium to be develpoed and that it would just be spare extra cash to them.

Not entirely sure you are 100% accurate there

On most of the points you raise

Unless you are being ironic

I don't think he's being ironic, I think he's just trying to make the worlds longest sentence.

A also agree, I doubt there is much truth in what he/she has written

cant be arsed with them 'mugs' comi n on ere and giving it the big one

ban em mods

also article around that arsenal have signed em both, so dont read much into it...

Hope it turns out to be a load of b*ll*cks.

Was wrong about Malbranque, Spurs gazumped us.

Hands up.

Not "giving it large' with this loan deal either.

Suspect it may be linked to a potential takeover in the future, as hinted at in this thread.

and anyway, I don't think these signings fit in with the way we've gone about things in the last couple of seasons.

Team, not individuals.

Is honest answer.

But you'd still be happy to take 'em surely? I reckon they're the type of signings required to bump you up another level towards the top 6. Fair play if they sign on.

According to SSN, they have both signed.

I'm shocked.

That's got to be the best transfer of all time.

Read somewhere that its all a bit dodgy, with Abramovitch involved somewhere, not that West ham supporters would give a shiny shit.

Would be a very good signing for T'Hammers IMO, and it really suits both parties, the players get a year of playing in a European league and also get exposed to the UEFA Cup, and the club get a couple of decent players for 12 months.............if they turn out to be cack, then fair enough they are gone at the end of the season, if they turn out to be world beaters then West Ham have a very good season and qualify for the UEFA Cup once more (possibly)

Here you go

"Corinthians have a 10-year "co-management" deal the Media Sports Investments company, in which Roman Abramovich is said to have a significant holding. It has also been reported that MSI owns the contracts of both players and could therefore block moves to, say, clubs likely to rival Chelsea for domestic or European glory."

West Ham - Chelsea's nursery club?

Not so sure Mick.

Maybe young supporters wouldn't give a shit, but the older ones amongst us would definetely have reservations.

Most despise the way Chelsea have gone about things, in a genuine way, not just something born out of jealousy - Corinthians are linked with dodgy money from one of Abramovich's rivals, who had a go at taking us over last year.

Big money involved potentialy, but a lot of Hammers fans didn't want to see it happen as indicated by the polls on the independent web-sites.

Wpuldn't have been in the same league as Abramovich, but going down the same road.

Chelsea have lost their identity, and a lot of their old school fans realise it.

Getting players in from Corinthians, is a step back to that, and maybe linked to previous takeover bid.

Coach loads of Japanese tourists at Upton Park, to see individual players, without any knowledge of what West Ham are all about?

No Thanks.

Aye - but your board of directors won't see it that way. They've got the ?????? signs in their eyes already.

Good siginings, Pardew hasn't done bad considering he was getting booed by his own fans a while back
