Dowie -- Promoted.... then relegated despite having money.... then failing to get promo'd despite having almost the same squad and again money.

 

Allardyce -- Promoted... stayed up with no-money... stayed up again... Top 10 finish... Europe... Top 10 Finish...

As for tactical nowse.... Sam developed a system that has lead to a small club being THE ONLY team other than the big 4 (arsenal, chelsea, man ure, livpool) to finish in the top 10 for the last 3 seasons. I'd call that extremely successful.

 

We'd be lucky to still be in the championship without Sam.

no, sam came to bolton when we were in the bottom 1/3 rd of the first division, took us into the play offs that year and it has been onwards and upwards ever since, regarding natashas initial point and dowie playing 2 up front despite being down to 10 men, in my opinion that tactic would only work 1 out of 20 timeswe did look the best team until charlton were reduced to 10 men unfortunately we did not capitalise on it and took our foot of the gas, the crowd upped the atmosphere and the rest is history.
