Having watched the peace cup and seeing how good jussi was (even so early on in the season) surley the board should now realise how much of a asset he is to the club, and with all the talk of atson villa , sunderland ect interested they should (with in reason)give the guy what he wants to ensure he spends the rest of his playing days with the club that made him into one of the top keepers in the world.

 

Personaly i would just give him all of the ?500,000 that we won in the peace cup. What do you guys think?

Well I was really throwing it out there to see what people thought. My point is no matter how well he played for the rest of the game that mistake was ultimately the event that caused us to lose the game.

 

Suppose the real question is what would the score have been do we think with another keeper between the sticks? Is 1-0 or 0-0 so unbelieveable?

If it was another keeper i think the defeat would of been by more than one or two goals.

Jussi showed quality on Saturday with the amount of saves he made, we can't hold him to that tiny mistake, he is only human.

He's had a lot of headlines perhaps because Lyon had so many shots. Certainly the double save was impressive for me and that would most likely have been a goal with a majority of other goalies we may be able to afford.

Yeah, but it was a very big mistake that cost the club top dollar.

The saves he made in the match - well, I'd have expected them from any competent goalkeeper, therefore this does not excuse his howler that cost us the match.

am i wrong in thinking that that goal was down to piss poor defending on jay lloyd samuels part diving in on the edge of the box it shouldn?t have gone as far as jussi and i am a believer that we should make him the highest paid player at Bolton because his heroics i recent seasons have kept us where we are

To put Jussi as top earner would lead to a player revolt and everyone would want a rise.

Agree with Ian regarding the wages situation. 2 comments:

 

First of all: I think Jussi wasbeen more upset with the midfield that didn't track the goalscorer, not the defence - they all just ball-watched - there were 4 men around the guy who layed it off, including Stelios stood there doing nowt at all.

 

Secondly, name Jussi's mistakes that have cost us goals / games / points etc. Then name his saves that have kept us in games etc. Think we all know what the ratio will be like

I've just seen Diouffy in a brand new red convertable Ferrari. I'm thinking if he can afford that he won't mind Jussi getting a couple of quid added to his wage packet each week.
