October 17, 200718 yr European games are for mugs! You should try turning up at a few away matches instead of going on a 2-3 day bender around Europe which doesnt benefit the club in anyway shape or form! You can still watch the game (in the pub), get leathered, saving you hundreds of pounds and use your money for the league games mmm let me think about this one. When I was watching Bolton in Division 4 on a Tuesday night at Exeter could I ever imagine Bolton playing Bayern Munich on an even playing field in the UEFA Cup? I think that answers your question!!
October 17, 200718 yr UUmmm! Remember stood on numerous open away ends on a tuesday nights, freezing, listening to the European half time scores thinking imagine what it would be like to watch our team in Europe! So i think the saying is, dont look a gift horse in the mouth! See you all in Munich, those that are going that is!

I can see the sentiment in your post, we will have a lot of games this season that are more important to the long term future of the club that i wont be attending. This one is for me !! I just fancy a right good 3 day sessions in a foreign city Not sure when I will get the chance again to watch Bolton in europe after this season and this is the game where there will be '0000s of Bolton fans just getting leathered..cultured ? no....helping the club ? no a good laugh i ragging hope so.

You can still watch the game (in the pub), get leathered, saving you hundreds of pounds and use your money for the league games i have done my share of away matches from the late 80's with my dad to the present day. Was at Wrexham in 88 and so on susffered heartache at Wembley when Trashmere beat us 1 - 0 aet and so on and so on. Now im grown up i pick and choose my games and get more pleasure from watching Bolton in Europe than i do going to say Fulham for a 2pm Sunday k/o which ive done plenty of also. in fact its easier to get to Munich for a game than it is to get to fookin London on a Sunday. Im sure 4-5000 fans in Munich will agree that Euro aways are the dogs! come to Belgrade with us man
October 17, 200718 yr At the same time dont forget what gets us there...bread and butterNot if thats the attutude of "so called fans" Glory hunter - where were you when we were shit? And be locked in the hotel just drinking and singing? No thank you. I will save my money for the non-glory hunting nights thanks I was on a role until you put more off. I nearly had enough to feed all of Langworthy Still there. Scarborough, Darlo, Hartlepool, Torquay, Newport County etc etc. Done em all mate.

October 22, 200718 yr so back to the original question. Are any of our games on TV???? I've heard they'll be on German and Serbian TV so I don't even have to bother going to the ground, I can just drink at the bar until I've soiled myself

October 23, 200718 yr I have checked all most recent listings and all the UEFA games EXCEPT ours have been taken up. SETANTA are showing some wierd cup from non-league instead of us, but last time they switched it to show our home game against robots so maybe they will do the same this time too. No news yet AFAIK.
October 23, 200718 yr On 8th November, Setanta are showing the Everton game. As channel 5 have been showing the Everton games so far, this frees them up to show the Munich game I would guess.
October 24, 200718 yr European games are for mugs! You should try turning up at a few away matches instead of going on a 2-3 day bender around Europe which doesnt benefit the club in anyway shape or form! Since the home team keeps all the gate receipts, I don't see your point. Going to away games doesn't benefit BW financially as far as I know. And the team benefit from having supporters with them at European away games. Anyway, like others have said, a lot of us have done more than our share of away games in all 4 divisions, plus cup-ties. Europe is a two-season wonder more than likely, but there'll be loads of opportunity to go to even more English away games. You might as well put that rod away now.
