Saddest time of my sporting (watching) life. Is it ok to intensely dislike the aussies? There was a "BL6" flag at Brisbane..............do we know them? Some place The "G"; incredible history/culture; aussies are totally serious about sport

We did a tour; I'd be surprised if there was a better sporting ground in the world. Wembley is ace, though.
Piemon Posted December 26, 2007 Author Posted December 26, 2007 (edited) The ball is 'doing a bit' early on a few LBW'S turned down in the first 5 overs Edited December 26, 2007 by hughesy

Moderators Horwich Posted December 26, 2007 Moderators Posted December 26, 2007 I've just had a few weeks in Sri Lanka watching England. It was well worth it. Even if you are not totally into your cricket its a good thing to do. You cant beat getting away into the sun at this time of year. Looking at the west indies next winter.
Piemon Posted December 26, 2007 Author Posted December 26, 2007 watched the cricket till about 2am a few overs after lunch. The Aussies were 127/0 then put teletext on this morning and they where 340/9 roughly. Id say that the Indians will be more pleased at the days end. Looked a good flat batting pitch to me after the first hour or so.

Anyway.............. i can dream I like my cricket but even I'm not sad enough to stay up watching live coverage of the Convicts and India. NZ Vs Bangladesh, now I might be tempted.

Whites man Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 The Aussies two match winning bowlers retire and yet they still keep winning Test after Test. B'stards.
globaldiver Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 The Aussies two match winning bowlers retire and yet they still keep winning Test after Test. B'stards. Celebrating down there tonight, Bolty? Might not even win the series now. Poncing not having it all his own way. Lack of strength in depth? Or just too cocky?
Moderators Casino Posted January 19, 2008 Moderators Posted January 19, 2008 only 1 test to go i think we've seen india aren't far off the aussies, but then thats been the case for a good few years

Lack of strength in depth? Or just too cocky? Oh yes, celebrating. You wouldn't believe how Aussie fans turn on their teams when they lose. Pontings copping a blast 'worst Aussie captain ever' blah, blah........fukn love it :::::::: Another nice memory for me when my very feminine Daughter walked in last night and said 'Yesssss! India beat em!' and punched the air with a clenched fist. In North Lake, Australia, there is a corner of a foreign field which will remain forever England
newquaywhite Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 moff to find the original unless you can do it first.
melbourne_white Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 First test, India had only been in the country 5 days before the start, with only 3hrs match practice because of rain. Not ideal preparation. Second test, 11 bad umpiring decisions went against them with at least 5 being woeful. Aussies ugly side rears it's head with sledging getting out of control. Steve bucknor gets sacked from umpiring third test. Third test, Perth, India win with excellent swing bowling in first innings, new opening partnership fails, loss being blamed on hayden being injured. Kumble gets 600th test wicket. Come on India in adelaide.
