June 12, 200817 yr Buy him - he seems like a decent, strong box to box player to me who gets a few goals.

June 14, 200817 yr what the f*ck would that clown know? probably more than you, otherwise you would be earning ?250K+ per year, like he is................... or am I wrong?
June 14, 200817 yr probably more than you, otherwise you would be earning ?250K+ per year, like he is................... or am I wrong? what kind of an argument is that? in his field he is at best average.... facts prove that... the fact that he is getting paid ?250k to bumble his way through...is a joke. the guys a clown...the fact that most on this forum have changed their opinion of him in the space of a couple of months...is f*cking hillarious... but i will stand myself in the firing line to admit i am wrong if he proves otherwise... but i doubt it...
June 14, 200817 yr Author what kind of an argument is that? in his field he is at best average.... facts prove that... the fact that he is getting paid ?250k to bumble his way through...is a joke. the guys a clown...the fact that most on this forum have changed their opinion of him in the space of a couple of months...is f*cking hillarious... but i will stand myself in the firing line to admit i am wrong if he proves otherwise... but i doubt it... you may well be right, and at times last season we were dreadful, other times we were better than the last 6 months of allardyce, to defend Megson I would say that he should be given the opportunity to start with a clean slate with his own players, Cahill/Taylor/steinson were excellent signings, I hope he proves me and many other bolton fans wrong, what dissapoints me is that Bolton fans actively want him to fail, that to me is very very strange attitude, and I would like any real bolton fan to come on here and defend that stance. p.s. none will because they have zero argument until Megson fails. Agreed. i think the problem with fan forums, and fanzines, is that they rely on their teams "failings" for content and comment
June 14, 200817 yr Agreed. i think the problem with fan forums, and fanzines, is that they rely on their teams "failings" for content and comment I think that's just human nature anyway. The problem Megson has is that rather than fail, he chucked the towel in. Be interesting to see what he makes of the cup compos this season. As for James Harper, I'd rather sign Roy Harper. June 14, 200817 yr No way does Harper convince me as a Prem player. He's good box-to-box, but nowt special beyond that. Not sure anyone actively WANTS Megson (and therefore BWFC) to fail. All I'll say is that I didn't want him as manager because of his previous record, and I remain to be convinced. I'd love him to succeed coz that means the Whites would be on the up again. I've nothing against him personally, & I could even live with his lack of charisma. But still I have my doubts about his abilities at this level. Here's hoping for the best.
June 14, 200817 yr waht the bollocks has charisma got to do with it you'd refuse grant, i guess and benitez and allardyce and and and megson has made us a better team i expect him to continue the good work
June 14, 200817 yr waht the bollocks has charisma got to do with it you'd refuse grant, i guess and benitez and allardyce and and and megson has made us a better team i expect him to continue the good work Thing is , how many of us wanted allardyce when he was appointed manager - not so fooking many! His first part season (if I remember correcltly wasnt too fooking sparkling either. Yet given time, and a preseason, look what success he brought us. we now need to stick together and back OUR manager
June 14, 200817 yr megson has made us a better teami expect him to continue the good work You missed off 'than Sammy Lee produced' off the end of the first sentence above. I hope you're right with the second one. I fear another basement scramble but at least it's exciting I suppose. Charisma? Something BSA was able to use to attract the likes of Hierro, JJ, Djorkaeff and Anelka? JAL

From 17th in the Championship, to a Play Offs place, and an FA Cup and League Cup Semi? Not a bad start as far as I'm concerned.
June 14, 200817 yr Eh? From 17th in the Championship, to a Play Offs place, and an FA Cup and League Cup Semi? Not a bad start as far as I'm concerned. Youve misunderstood me. What I am comparing is megsons first (part) season with sams first (part) season. He led us onwards and upwards after a quiet start. Given a full pre season and his own signings, why cant megson to do the same
June 14, 200817 yr waht the bollocks has charisma got to do with it you'd refuse grant, i guess and benitez and allardyce and and and megson has made us a better team i expect him to continue the good work Good for you. I have my doubts based on his previous record and I'm waiting to see what he does. I imagine a lot of fans had doubts when Allardyce was appointed; as a manage, he was a relative unknown. 'Charisma' was put in to provoke responses. Job done.

June 14, 200817 yr Eh? From 17th in the Championship, to a Play Offs place, and an FA Cup and League Cup Semi? Not a bad start as far as I'm concerned. the football, in a similar time span to the one megson was allowed, in a lower league was absolutely dismal it brought results - generally - so it was accepted you remember the debacle against tranmere? i don't think we've ever touched the depths of those two games in my time
I recently suggested Harper would be a good signing for us, looks like Megson agrees.
