magic legs Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Assume that Nolan will come back and Taylor and Gardner on the flanks, so Elmander on the bench? Cant see Megson playing 2 up front. Nor do I blame him. Happy with a point to keep the mini-run going.
Horwich Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 4-5-1 against the bin dippers and try and keep it as tights as possible.
Chris T. Church Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Don't think its works with Davies and Elmander up front, both seem to be playing too deep leaving nobody in the box. Therefore got to be one or the other, and I can't see Davies being dropped even if we did spend a shed load on Johan. Get Nolan back in and tell him to push forward into the area and support the lone striker.
Burndens Bogs Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 4-5-1 against the bin dippers and try and keep it as tights as possible. Best possible plan. Theres a time and a place for playing 4-4-2, and Liverpool at home isn't it.
Smiffs Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 At home we should be playing 2-2-6 at home. No wonder we can't sell out.
Ani Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 elmander on the bench as he is recovering from a mystery strain in training and do not want to risk him for 90 mins.
glennboltw Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 At home we should be playing 2-2-6 at home. No wonder we can't sell out. I cant believe Bolton fans, people moan when we play 4-5-1 then we win with two up front then they won't us to be defensive again. No matter who we play at home it should be two up front, if we play 4-5-1 against the scouser's and go a goal down everyone will be on Megson's back. Let's go out and attack them and get a win. Lets rattle them and get in there face's and I am sure we can get a POSITIVE result.

MickyD Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Yes, get back to the box Smiffy lad. . . Now, what were you papping on about Glenbolw?
glennboltw Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Yes, get back to the box Smiffy lad. . . Now, what were you papping on about Glenbolw? No idea, I guess I am just a confused Bolton fan like the rest of us.
snackum Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 4-5-1 against the bin dippers and try and keep it as tights as possible. How about 6-3-1? Just to give the Fat Spanish Waiter a chance to state about how incredibly negative we are, and how we scored the only goal in the game while his players had fallen asleep waiting for us to string three passes together. :yahoo:
Ratwhite Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 elmander on the bench as he is recovering from a mystery strain in training and do not want to risk him for 90 mins. Yeah its called goal shyness
Traf Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 The mystery strain was trying too hard for a shit.
enzo gambaro Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 elmander on the bench as he is recovering from a mystery strain I found it quite hard going too, to be fair, but 'In the Fascist Bathroom' is an excellent read.
snackum Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Dropped by Sweden as well as Megson! Elmander dropped by Sweden Bolton striker Johan Elmander has been left out of the Sweden squad for the friendly international against Holland next week. Elmander has been dropped from the squad having struggled to find his feet since joining the Trotters in a big-money from Toulouse in the summer. Coach Lars Lagerback said: "Johan has been injured for some time and doesn't feel like he's in form so we thought he shouldn't be included." http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...4487135,00.html
jayjayoghani Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 So the conversation went along the lines. LL: So how are you Johan? JE: I've been injured and I'm playing shit Now I'm all for more humble footballers but not sure I wanted that.
snackum Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 So the conversation went along the lines. LL: I hear you've been playing shit and blaming it on injury. JE: Errrrrrrrr Now I'm all for more humble footballers but not sure I wanted that.
tyldesley_white Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 So the conversation went along the lines. LL: So how are you Johan? JE: alright LL:are you up to playing on the wing again when we play Holland JE: fcuk that for a game of solders
Traf Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Struggled to find his feet? He's f?cking no chance of volleying one in then.
Smiley Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Struggled to find his feet? He's f?cking no chance of volleying one in then. he'll be playing in bare feet next! with the kit man chasing him down the wing with his socks and boots.
snackum Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 he'll be playing in bare feet next! with the manager chasing him down the wing with his P45.
Smiffs Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 To be fair I thought you had been told to play on the other Board and not confuse people by coming on here. I feel like I am sat in the headmasters office when I stray over here. Bobcat once told me off for it. And I dont think I have ever written pissfroth or spunkbubbles on the normal bit.
Ratwhite Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Just been talkin to someone ITK. Apparently scored two in training today
