May 10, 200917 yr Not sure what Ive said that allows me to join such esteemed company ??? Sincere apologies Taff. I meant Totty. Heavy night on the cider at a northern Soul do.
May 10, 200917 yr S'funny, I could have sworn he'd been an England U21 international. Can't be reet. That would mean that folk who actually know summat about football rated him. Young player; plenty to learn; great ballwinner; needs a Deco like character beside him. Potential to be a great asset in the future. Fcuk it, let's crucify the fcuker. Jeebster, Taffy, Thunter - I salute you. Nicky Hunt was an England U21 international. By your logic, you should be castigating Megson for replacing him. One moment in the match yesterday summed up Muamba. He made a good tackle whilst tracking back. Played a short pass to McCann, got the ball back and then played a cross field pass that was over hit to such an extent that it finished up in the crowd. Yes, he makes decent tackles sometimes, but more often teams play around him and he gets nowhere near the ball. Players of quality turn in performances week after week. Muamba's had about five games where you could say that over the 90 minutes he's done well. He doesn't have potential. He's as good now as he'll ever be. You'll see that eventually. It just takes some people longer than others.

May 10, 200917 yr It pisses me off how people say that he is still young and has potential. We are talking about simple 5 yard passes, which is the first thing that you usually do when you start off playing football. If someone who has played and trained for 10 months of the year, every year for the last 5 years still cant manage to do that then there is no hope. What would you say if you paid a brickie to come and put you up a new wall and it was shit but his boss says dont worry he has potential? would you say fair enough then give him some encouragement? I doubt it.
May 10, 200917 yr Bang on. Another player paying the price for boo boy attacks. Well done son. Most insightful. So Hunt's been replaced because of the fans. Not because Megson thinks that Steinsson is a better player? I see.
May 10, 200917 yr So Hunt's been replaced because of the fans. Not because Megson thinks that Steinsson is a better player? I see. Well if you see, why use the question mark? Royal white - your analogy with a bricklayer is utter b0llocks. Does a bricklayer have thousands watching him work - all who are vastly superior in both knowledge and skill and have also paid for the opportunity to criticise? Hardly a fair comparison. I have seen players pilloried at BWFC for decades. Neil Whatmore; Roy Greaves and even Okocha in the early days plus many more. A good few went on to become BWFC legends and I hope this lad does too.

I dont know anything about putting up a brick wall but I would know if its shit and I would criticise, like I would do if Muamba or any other player continually made the same mistake, I dont want him to be a bad buy/player but at the moment it looks that way.

I wouldn't say it pisses me off - it's just someone else's opinion, but I agree with what you say. In football terms he isn't young. He lacks skills that should have been mastered years ago. If he had potential we'd have seen an improvement in him as the season progressed. That hasn't happened. He's the same player he was at the start. Judging by what Birmingham fans said about him, he's the same player he was when he was with them.

I agree totally with your firts point bolty and see the comedy in your second unfortunatly half the crowd at the Reebok would rather get on the lads back rather than give him some encouragement
May 10, 200917 yr The lad is struggling, that is clear to see but so are quite a few. Summer can not come quick enough for them - yes Muamba is one but his contribution to the team is still there to see, Elmander on the other hand is a different story!
May 11, 200917 yr in a game where EVERY tackle is a freekick, muamba is fookin world class ball winner. he just needs to learn what to do with the ball once he has it.
May 11, 200917 yr Potential.....yeah right ......ability none. He has strength, he can shield a ball, he can make the occasional tackle but he cannot pass to anyone in a similar coloured shirt or place the ball in an empty net (MU away Villa at home). Muamba is a disaster. I so much wanted to be proved wrong when I said on the opening day aganst Stoke he is shite. But no, sadly I was right. I have followed Wanderers for 40 years and have never been so disappointed or so vitriolic against one individual as effin Muamaba..............sorry care to find the official stats on that? i'll help you. villa (h) 24 passes attempted 20 competed 4 failed i work that out at 83% AND manu (a) 12 passes attempted 12 competed 0 failed i'll let you work that one out. lets throw sunderland game in there too. 22 passes attempted 18 competed 4 failed 82% also 8 tackles attempted 7 tackles won 1 tackle lost your right, fookin shit that lad. So you're the one who bought the Muamba shirt!!
May 11, 200917 yr So you're the one who bought the Muamba shirt!! nope, names on shirts are for gayers.
May 11, 200917 yr nope, names on shirts are for gayers. Favourite saying on MOTD- " xxxxx goes past Muamba " Fill in the xxxs youself, could be any running midfielder we,ve come up against.
May 11, 200917 yr Favourite saying on MOTD- " xxxxx goes past Muamba " Fill in the xxxs youself, could be any running midfielder we,ve come up against. Seems to me you do nowt but criticise. Do you have anything positive to say about BWFC? Just another Dutch Cap, Holly Dickhead.................................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Just another Dutch Cap, Holly Dickhead.................................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz What's your problem Bolty with having a go, its what forums are about, having a good old whinge, letting off some steam. If you think something is shit then say so, why hold back like a bunch of liberal pussy whipped wimps.

If you think something is shit then say so, why hold back like a bunch of liberal pussy whipped wimps. I don't have a problem with folk having a whinge. I do it myself from time to time - it is human nature. I actually did it when we appointed your hero as manager as I thought it was an unambitious and unimaginative appointment and that is still my opinion (although, as a committed BWFC fan, I will back him to the hilt whilst he's here). What I do have a problem with is repetitive negativity where a few obvious infiltrating posters do fcuk all but moan and criticise. If it's so fcuking bad and someone is 100% p1ssed off about everything, why fcuking bother? Go support some club who wins the vast majority of its games because it has all of the money and power. Alternatively, take up competitive knitting or some other mind numbing pastime which would relieve you of your pent up frustration.

May 12, 200917 yr You seem like one of them cunts who sees what he wants to and thinks hes always right. You talk so much shit its unbelievable. Sounds exactly the rose-tinted people who see absolutely nothing to criticise as well.
May 12, 200917 yr Sounds exactly the rose-tinted people who see absolutely nothing to criticise as well. I agree there are things to criticise and quite a few but theres also quite a few things that are positive. Too many people seem to focus very quickly on the negatives instead of having patience to let these things i.e Muamba, elmander etc to become something positive.
May 12, 200917 yr Muamba just needs a bit of confidence...he'll be fine then...I'm telling you how's he lost his confidence though? he had an outstanding game at boro earlier in the season confidence might be down to being dropped one week, picked the next?
