Grad
The guy with the 'Megson Out' poster is praying for Paul Merson to be appointed, so when things go wrong he only needs to make a little change and he's back in business

hawklord
sssh just seen jim magilton on platform 1 looking for the blackpool north train.  in the bag  Brilliant news for the club and the fans. The new manager will have to be popular and make an effort with the fans as this was (one of) GM's biggest failings. My first choice would be Coyle but he will stay at Burnley, Hughes will not want to come, Southgate, Coppell would be seen as negative, Darren Ferguson would not be acceptable, McLaren is top of the league in Holland and has not been forgiven for his time with England. Just watched Sky Sports news and they had McAteer suggesting Peter Reid as a good choice. Despite him not doing much recently he would definitely be popular with the fans and could be paired with a younger coach to make a decent team. Whatever happens it can't be worse than what we've just had.

Kill Cricket
Has anyone mentioned Trapattoni, yet? Good manager, and missed out on the World Cup - could he be tempted back to club football? Surely it'd be worthwhile for Gartside/Davies to ask him? He could only say "no".

Kill Cricket
Here's the thing - it actually could. Oh, it certainly could. But, given that we're third bottom, only above Hull on goal difference, haven't kept a clean sheet in the league all season, and look spineless, unconfident and inept, it almost certainly won't get worse. Even with Paul Jewell.
Ashey
Onwards and upwards. Typical bolton grit will get us out of this mire. All stick together, get behind the team and if we go down, we'll go down with a fight
