SpiritofBurnden Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 He was the real spirit of Burnden. RIP Sir Nat.
Eddie Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I'm nowhere near old enough to have seen the great man play yet I still know just how good he was and how important he is to our club, says it all really. R.i.p to a true Legend
Guest rossendalewhite Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 RIP Nat, Thanks for making BWFC great and putting us on the map.
jeep Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Had the pleasure of meeting him a number of times - a true gentleman. Got a little tear in my eye. RIP Nat - Bolton's finest.....
L/H White Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Dad tells me, once Nat was asked who his second team was, he's reply, Bolton reserves.
Jiminiho.3 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Rest In Peace Nat, a wonderful man and a BWFC legend.
Ziggy Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 RIP Nat. This is a truely sad day. If you support Bolton Wanderers, if you have ever supported Bolton Wanderers, get to the Chelsea game & sing your heart out for the club, for Nat, for out future without our spiritual leader.
Guest MUFC_Ste Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Very sad loss for football, never seem him play but heard he was a top man on and off the pitch. RIP Nat my thoughts are with you and your family. MUFC_Ste
TroySwoosh Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 RIP Nat, will surely be missed Had the oportunity to meet Nat as a scrawny 13yr old mascot in 86, nicest bloke ever
LeggyMountbatten Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Rest in peace Nat. I never saw him play but from a young age I was told the stories of the fearless centre forward - strong as an ox, heart of a lion. For as long as there is a Bolton, people will always speak of Nat Lofthouse. Such a terrible loss for the town as well as the club.
Totty Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Too young to really know him as anything but an old man, but I have had his legacy ingrained all my life. Goodnight lofty - my grandad will be buying you a pint in heaven tonight!
Guest BWFCOK Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 R.I.P Nat lofthouse Bolton's greatest ever son, will be missed so much but will never be forgotten! R.I.P SIR Nat, always in our hearts and Always a Wanderer!
Guest Penwar Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Used to love my grandad telling me stories about our team in the 50's. Sad sad day. RIP Nat.
Guest snowball Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 God bless you Nat. Not fortunate enough to have seen you wear the white shirts but did meet you and it was obvious what affection you had for BWFC and your hometown. It worked both ways. We have lost one of our greatest.
Grad Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 RIP Nat. How he was never knighted I don't know. He was, is and always will be Bolton Wanderers. Let's do him proud
Guest SusanWhites Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Goodnight and God bless to a local hero. Your sporting skills and lifelong loyalty will endure in the hearts and minds of all who love what you loved.
Freddie_Hill Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) The world is a much poorer place in your passing Nat, thanks for the memories. R.I.P. Edited January 16, 2011 by Freddie_Hill
