Coyle

i could list the ones who won't hear a word against him who will be all over this like a rash....

but i don't care

bar a month of this season, the football has been dire

in that month, the attacking play was top notch

his tactics aren't working and he doesn't appear to have a clue what to do

maybe when megson has told you day in day out that you're shite, a bloke sticking his arm around your shoulder is just what the doctor ordered

but, there comes a point where telling 'em they're great isn't enough

i don't think the players are shit, but they're playing shit

this is when he earns his corn

bumming up the fans telling us how good we are?

yeah, its nice to hear but it doesn't win games

today was shite

absolute fcuking shite

Coyle has been here just over 12months, in that time he has pulled us away from a relegation battle, last season I think Megson would have taken us down.   We now have a manager who engages and ack

just to buy players

Homer,

Do you think we'd be equipped to handle a European campaign too? (In the unlikely event of it happening)

It'd be great for the fans, but I think the squad would struggle.

certainly not, in fact i think it may well relegate us, as coyle would not play a weak team.

You can't deny Megson's knack of buying players. He'd be a decent upstairs bloke. Just don't let him loose with a team or in an interview.

Europa league with our current squad would finish us imo. We would need at least 6 or 7 more capable players to add to what we got and that aint gonna happen.

Honestly? What an utter cock that man is. I'd hate to give him credit for anything.

Was our last 'European Squad' that much better? Honest question, can't be arsed looking it up.

No, and we nearly went down..

The squad that got Bolton into Europe was much better than the one that played in Europe the season after and was beaten by Sporting Lisbon.

Players the quality of Anelka,Faye and Ben Haim and I think Stelios and Speed were all in the 2006/07 squad but had left Bolton by the time of the Sporting Lisbon defeat.Their replacements Andy O'Brien, Matt Taylor,Gavin McCann, Rasiak etc just weren't at the same level.

And probably wouldn't have played anyway as we had a far more important league match coming up

Good point, although Stelios didn't leave until the end of the season and scored a couple of vital goals, home to Derby and away at Spurs.

Would we have signed Braaten and Wilhelmson without being in Europe? I doubt it, and in Wilhelmson's case it cost a hefty chunk in wages.

Stelios played against Sporting Lisbon. I remember his cross just in front of me that Vaz Te headed wide.

What SKD would give for one bloody cross like that.
