Did Derby on the big screen beam back

One memory of that was they kept focusing on Craig Short who looked like a hard as fuck bloke

Sort of the same with John Terry, some footballers no matter their age just look dead old and hard

Think Craig short or his brother was in that Scarborough team that battered us 4-0 in div 4 with Colin wanker in charge .

Craig and Chris Short were both at Scarborough when they beat us, dont know if they played.  Short followed Warnock to Notts County then later Sheff U.  One of those "top pro's" you don't really hear a bad word about.

I’m my top 3 games. Left straight from school. There a few more new uploads from Andy Brandwood since Christmas

I remember feeling almost overcome when McGinlay put that one in, struggled to celebrate properly I felt so emotional.  David Lee - what a winger, just looking at that game and the Anfield night he looked unplayable.  Obviously he could be inconsistent with his crossing, but if he was crossing like Beckham (or Morais!) every week he would never have been with us in the 3rd tier.

Oldham game was probably the first game against a Premier League club where we felt we were favourites. And to be fair, the result was down to a Mark Patterson fuck up rather than getting done by a superior team.

They were a better team than us although not on the day, that Oldham team was quality.

For those who dont mind their football in Black & White ( Quality is very good )

This popped up on You Tube - did not even know it was filmed

Bolton v Man United in 1960/61 - never seen anything from  this period at Burnden - one of Nats final games

I put another on about a month ago and someone said commentator is Cliff Mitchelmore ?

This "Heavy Roller" you tuber has uploaded 200 + videos  so far -  football related stuff from the late 40s through to the early 60s and continues to add stuff regularly - worth checking in on every few weeks

There's other Bolton matches on - aways - but quality is not always brilliant

Thanks for that - always enjoy viewing some old footage.

Couple of observations - bloody cars between the pitch and terrace!

The defending for Uniteds equalizer, crikey, keystone cops.

You didnt know about the spaz chariots?

There’s something in the recesses of memory/stories from the past, it just looks so strange and not the Burnden Park I was used to seeing from the 80s onwards

I was expecting some full on chanting and police in the crowd by 1960 especially against Man United

First game back after 18m out & I assume someone else had the baton.

But yes, odd from today's perspective.

I bet he took the next one. One of the worst I've seen that.

Good piece of film though. I'd forgotten that the invalid vehicles took the ditches.

It was one of the things I noticed when I started going around '77, they were there every game I went to late 70s.  I'm guessing they disappeared around 1980 but maybe slightly later.

That was great footage, some slighly better standard football than I associate with that period, which often looked a bit kick and rush.  Love how the commentator always said Bolton Wanderers and never just Bolton.
