That’s ace pal. I played football on there (unofficially) as a kid from late 70s into mid 80s before it got demolished. Had our fair share of balls that came over the wall and didn’t find their way back to the club! (My fault we nearly went bust)

Used to play on Bromwich St myself.
My great aunt lived on the street and her garden backed onto the training pitches.

Yep, we used to climb over JB’s wall all the time as I was big mates with her sons.

Me too. That's the game in which Frank scored a goal that he always reckoned was better than his famous one at home to Ipswich.

At some point I will go through 80/81 to 84/5 and list what is on You Tube. From 85/6 onwards the amount of footage increases significantly so that's less relevant.

My cousin was at that match was working in the smoke but he was a red, think it was a long shot from near half way line.

Blakes debut?

Yes. Page 63-64 of GBU book! A very drunken day out on the Howcroft coach!

Great footage, forgot how good Scott Green’s goal was. Chuffed for the lad. Was his first goal for us in the 1-0 win over Bristol City when they wrecked the back of the paddock?

That's where I meant I'd read it. Just realised my original post doesn't make much sense now!

Enjoyed Greens celebration, left arm pump, right arm pump, both arms pump 😃

Ace that. A lot to digest. Really dont remember Ronny Rosenthael or however you spell it playing for them. Or Ruel Fox for that matter.

Hows that save from Branny not spoke about more?

I used to think Fox was one of the best players I'd ever seen when he'd be on MOTD just legging it everywhere for Spurs and Newcastle!

Only thing I remember Rosenthal doing at spurs was scoring 4 (?) At Southampton but only because it was a live fa cup game

And patterson?

Patterson (I’d discounted him as I’ve zero recollection of him being on the 92/93 highlights!) ✔️

Davison signed summer of 93 so is a no.

Could have Jimmy Phillips too I suppose albeit he’d played in the third tier in the 80s rather than under Rioch.

I was on that Howcroft coach to Spurs.

I think it was nearly xmas & we'd lost every away game up to then, so when we came back from 2 down, the celebrations were very, very exuberant but the Spurs lot weren't at all happy & soon as we got outside, we had to keep a very low profile......iirc a small group had gone in fancy dress & one or two of them got lamped on the way back to the coach.
