I just had a look too, I must have been going through some sort of episode those opening few games, the results and scorers are in front of me and I've still got nothing. Megsonsim, probably.

What a pre season though, games in Leigh, Monchengladbach, Netherlands and at Hearts.

The weekend in Dusseldorf was outstanding for that Monchengladbach game. They had the big fanzone thing after the game we were boozing with them all there. Soon as we got back into the market square was when it all kicked off at that pub. 

Realised I'd lost my passport whilst waiting for a taxi back to Weeze airport - I was disgustingly rough.

Belting weekend.

Got it in one.

I then sent my new passport through the washing machine less than 12 months later and was warned by the passport office if I lost my next one I could only get a 12 month one due to national security. Needless to say that one I guarded with my life!

Got there late on a coach - about 5 mins after kick off - straight into the ground - then realised it was the Shed End and not the other end - oops - Lesson in how to take a Bolton scarf off with no one noticing!!

That's the game I got the biggest black eyes ever, we were late because of traffic around Hyde Park and as we got there Chelsea were waiting for us and we got a kicking, after the game they got on our coach to carry it on, still got the programme with blood on it. The good old days eh!

Hard to say how many Bolton were at a game like that because a lot, probably most, would keep a low profile which  was completely understandable when it was hopeless & the London police would give you next to no protection at places like Millwall & Chelsea......there were games where i never twitched when Bolton scored !!

At that Chelsea game , around 100 Bolton lads , Barney's coach & a few others, showed on the open end, getting attacked straight away & starting in the middle but finishing pressed against the side fence. After the game outside was even worse & FD was one of those left behind.

The coaches were parked on Caledonia Road, about a mile from the ground, we were attacked all the way there then they got on our coach to carry on attacking us
