Superb find!! Obviously I’d love my Dad to be still alive (sadly at 105 it would be wishful thinking) but it’s stuff like this that rings so many bells about stuff he told me By 1945 he’d be

Dont remember the West Brom fans mixed on the Embankment, bet there was some fun and games on there, I was on the Lever End that day, just checked up the result and we lost 1-2 is there any footage of Roy Greaves goal?

Not seen this one before.

This video is the best to capture the real flavour of Burnden Park turn up the sound and hear the crackling atmosphere, It sends a shiver down my spine a real throwback to real football.

Second Leg at Burnden. Cracking atmosphere. Whatever happened to 'Come On You Whites!'? It sounds deafening before the game!

Really enjoyed watching that again, but bloody hell, when did we last play on a pitch that bad ? (and that was considered normal back then).

Never seen before -what a crackin clip

Our first goal on about 23 minutes.

Thompson. Was it Thompson,

No, Super John McGinlay's back.

Oh, McAteer.

Classic Ding Dong Dave!

Can't see Southampton away in the Cup anywhere, but I've got the goal highlights on video so will have to try to get 'em loaded up. Barry Horne can fuck off though

So can Dave Felgate!

:pardon:

The best away following I had seen at the time. As the only none Man Ure in my entire school (with the exception of a maths teacher who also supported the whites and made me football captain for some reason) it was one of my proudest moments at the time seeing so many at the dell midweek. The landlord of the pub opposite even said it was his busiest he had been all season!

Still can't believe Felgate got beat from there

Am I correct in recalling that Phil Neal tool a holiday mid-season to get over the game??? Wish I could have done that

No that was QPR earlier that season. Remember it as my mate turned up with a Chuckle Brothers haircut and later had a punch up with the landlord's son at Fannys.

Per Frandsen's performance in the Birmingham is probably the best I have ever seen, he was all over the pitch.
