1.30 Almost impossible to oppose Cue Card but Hidden Universe looks good place value. He has decent form and will improve for better ground.

2.05 Finian's Rainbow has a chance on the bare form on a line through Hell's Bay but Ghizao looks solid to me based on him giving lumps of weight and a beating to Captain Chris around Christmas.

2.40 Sunnyhillboy is my shout in a tricky race but Rare Bob offers cracking each way value on only his second start of the season.

3.20 Pin sticker's paradise! Everthing point to Menorah but I've a sneaking feeling for Oscar Whisky. Clerk's Choice could surprise a few with a decent run but he won't win,

4.00 Difficult to oppose Garde Champetre round here but the inconsistent Sizing Australia has a pull at the weights and might just come good.

4.40 If you're desperate to oppose Quevega there's only Sparky May to do it with.

5.15 On Borrowed Wings is as good a shout as any but it might pay to forgive Nadiya de la Vega a poor run last time out.

...

Double To Win

Cue Card 1.30

Quevaga 4.40

Single To Win

Peddlers Cross 3.20

Double Each Way

Reve De Sivola 2.40

Poker De Sivola 4.00

Recession Proof 1.30

Merdemit 2.05

Great Endeavour 2.40

Got ?40 on in total. All of this is in effect free bets as I got a ?5 free casino bet and turned it into ?50. If none of these come in then thats me out of Cheltenham as I have promised myself not to put any money in betting accounts, and havent done so for a few months, so seeing this as a bonus.

I also have a ?10 double on Cue Card and Big Bucks!

It's turning out to be a good day.

PS Fair play to Enzo for backing Sizing Australia: I thought that my selection (A New Story) and Garde Champetre would overhaul him, but he battled on grimly. One thought was that Nina Carberry (usually very good at this type of race) left GC with a bit too much to do.

Lads, I'm not a massive Horse Racing fan to be honest. BUT, I do like a flutter, and I'll have a good read and a little study to best of my knowledge to have a bet. Not just pick my fav colour or number etc.

But, is it just me who get's butterflys when your horse is going up that chheltenahm hill and flying round that left turn?

Real excitment for me ::lol::

No, mate: that run-in is probably the best in the world. It really sorts the wheat from the chaff.

They bang on about Aintree, but apart from a slight deviation, it's just a long straight run. Horses at Cheltenham have to save something in reserve for that least climb, a tight-ish turn after such exertions and then the "sprint" to the line.

And there were some great finishes today: far better than when horses piss it by 20+ lengths.
