fishbulb Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Anybody else in the same boat as me? Everybody I know with a ST is going so I will have to wait til they go on open sale on Monday. Given the chaos that ensued on the phone lines/internet when they went on sale to season ticket holders I am expecting much the same situation Monday morning and so I'm thinking of going up to t'Reebok and queueing up to get some. Good move or not?
Boothy Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Really wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Just book online.

no balls Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I don't recall any online chaos, it seemed super-efficient and easy There were problems if you wanted to purchase a number of tickets.
Guest Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 There were problems if you wanted to purchase a number of tickets. The 45 I purchased went smoothly
Horwich Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I dont know anyone who hasnt got a ticket. We wont sell out. Everyone just needs to chill out a bit.

Good move or not? Says on BWFC website that Sunday 10th April is only day you can buy in person from the ticket office. All sales on Monday 4th will be online or phone.
no balls Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 The 45 I purchased went smoothly Well it didn't for many others, I can assure you of that.
Guest Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Well it didn't for many others, I can assure you of that. Poor them I hope that yours went through OK
Fengshui Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 who was that plantpot int paper who queued up from 8pm night before, even though he had a ST, cause he thought there was going to be a big rush?
no balls Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Poor them I hope that yours went through OK I always have a plan B. Thanks.
Eddie Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I've had to wait for open sale. I can't see there being a problem from what people are saying, that doesn't mean I won't be trying online the minute I can do though
Butterfly Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 who was that plantpot int paper who queued up from 8pm night before, even though he had a ST, cause he thought there was going to be a big rush? One of the hundreds of season ticket holders who didn't get a Carling Cup Final ticket becasue the ticket office underestimated the demand.
KP Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 One of the hundreds of season ticket holders who didn't get a Carling Cup Final ticket becasue the ticket office underestimated the demand. Also one of the 13,000 ST holders who knew they could get 2 tickets each in an allocation of 32,000.

That'll be why they've done it differently this time. I'd love to meet the person who's never made an error of judgement.

I was a season ticket holder and applied for 12 tickets (all ST holders, and we'd all attended against Villa in the semi) for the Carling Cup final at Cardiff - i got a letter saying i'd been "unsuccessful on this occasion" The Bastards I got my tickets in the end through a contact, and i haven't had a season ticket since. Utter utter bastards. I'm not bitter or owt though Edited March 31, 2011 by Burndens Bogs
SpiritofBurnden Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 We've sold around 20,000 so far according to the BN: http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/wanderersnews/8943057.Semi_ticket_sales_set_to_top_20_000/
superjohnmcginlay Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I was at Cardiff for the final, Im going to Wembley JSL
DC08WFC Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I very much doubt we'll sell out, or even come close. To sell 12,000 to Lifeline & open sale is a tall order. Still, it doesn't matter how many we take.

As do I. Surely we can muster more than 25k? What is it with the Bolton public? Perhaps we should change the name to Bolton Apathetic
