superjohnmcginlay Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) Maybe he is right. Edited May 9, 2011 by superjohnmcginlay
Elson Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 Maybe he is right. Nah seen the Pics, down her right side, in the wrong lane last minate lane change. if it was a supermarket car park I would probably think it was her attempt at parking
Traf Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 It's a reasonable question. If the other guy is being a cunt about it, why not "jog someone's memory" about the incident? Thinking back, I remember having to take evasive action earlier today as some big 4x4 type ran into an 11-plate Italian car. The details are still a bit hazy, but I'm sure it'll all come back to me.

Pissed off last thing I need at the moment As long as he tells his insurance company that he was changing lanes when the incident occured you'll be reet, he's collided with a correctly proceeding vehicle. His insurance company wont argue the case, they'll accept liability even if this other fella doesn't. In fact his insurance company will most likely offer to deal direct with yourselves for rep's, hire etc to keep claim costs down, it's easier for you as well as you dont have to pay your excess to the garage and spend month's waiting for your insurer or broker recover it for you, also if you deal through your own insurer your no claims bonus will be affected until they've recovered there claim costs and the file is closed (even if the incident is non-fault) and that can take month's... DaveTheRave Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I was a passenger in your wifes car and will support her story. I'm also putting in an injury claim.
Traf Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I was a passenger in your wifes car and will support her story. I'm also putting in an injury claim. That's true: he was sitting behind me. I've now got severe whiplash from him banging into the back of the seat.
Loft Nuthouse Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 That's true: he was sitting behind me. I've now got severe whiplash from him banging into the back of the seat. Correct. I was locked in the boot with a bag over my head, but I heard EVERYTHING.
Breightmet Boy Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I was going round a sharp bend on Empire Road in Breightmet when a drain cleaning vehicle, which was completely on my side of the road, halted my car. Believe it or not their insurance wanted 70/30 in their favour and I had to settle 50/50 on the advice of my solicitor. I hope you don't get the same result.
athywhite1958 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I posted on here almost 12 months ago that a neighbour smashed into my wife's car and wrote it off, he came round apologising and offered to get her a replacement car, we refused and said we were going through the insurance, he has since denied it saying my missus ran into him, the case is ongoing. He has one of them 'Evo' cars, it'll look great full of paint stripper
wiggy Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I was parked in the station car park a few weeks ago waiting for my girlfriend when some clown reversed his 4 x 4 into the back of my car. There weren't any other cars within 20 metres of me in any direction and I was parked with my bonnet parked against the wall. God knows what he was doing. His first words were "what do you think you were you doing?" I replied with a "I supposed I reversed back into you through the wall then?" There were no witnesses so I went to get a quick photo of the scene but he obviously saw what was coming an quickly moved his car away. He then said that he was sorry and knew it was his fault. We swapped details and I called my insurance company. As expected he claimed that I was the one reversing. Stupid idiot had forgotten about the security cameras in the car park! Unfortunately most people turn into complete idiots behind the wheel.
Winchester White Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Fuckers who do that should get done for fraud.

athywhite1958 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Evo car, offered to buy her a new one? Nailed on drug dealer you're dealing with mate He's actually a mechanic for the Royal Mail in Manc, he does a lot of foreigners at home, it was a customers car he smashed into my missus in. He WLL get what is due!
Alf Hartigan Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Fuckers who do that should get done for fraud. If that's on CCTV it's a clear case of attempting to make a fraudulent claim, insurance companies don't seem to pass this stuff on to the police, and the police don't seem keen on taking it on ( in a sense that 'we've got enough on our plates, sort it out with the solicitors ) My fucking pet hate this subject, far too many people getting away with it. When insurers/ police get a chance to nail someone for a fraudulent claim, they need to start taking it.
