it is a lot, but it's probably the going rate....pretty much the same sort of wage as an average benchwarmer at the club receives these days

The key mathematical equation here is surely the amount of debt minus the amount the owner has put in. That's only ?8m. At Wigan its ?21m.

 

The concern for me is expressed in Wigan's column but applies to Bolton, Fulham and others who are owned by one wealthy man. What are the plans for when that person dies? Hopefully Eddie Davies has many good years ahead of him - nonetheless I hope the club is planning ahead.
