worthy10 Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 He is obviously a proud, loyal and generous Bolton fan. So he must be hurting more than most at our current situation. As a successful businessman he makes more correct moves than erroneous ones. A penny for his thoughts? He will do what he thinks is best for my club. But it is decision time.
burnden Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 he is just a business man who bought the club for fuck all money then strapped us us with loans and is making a tidy sum out of it http://swissramble.blogspot.com/search/label/Bolton%20Wanderers

Whether it proves untimatley flawed, only time will tell. I think Coyle may have to start blooding some youngsters though, as at the moment the writing appears to be on the wall
Rembrandt Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Even though ED is a BW fan, as a businessman he'll make whatever decisions are good for his businesses & finances. Let's hope thay're also good for the club.
bwfc2003 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Personally I think OC needs an assistant with experience at this level
frankietheman Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Loyalty to certain underperforming players and an incompetetant backroom staff will ultimately cost him
Arrested development Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 We are in a bad run of form, but we'll get out of it. Why do people feel the need to apportion blame to everybody? It's the players fault, they are all useless. It's Coyle's fault, he is picking the wrong players It's the backroom teams fault, they are underperforming. It's gartside's fault, he hired Coyle and he's only concerned with lining his own pockets. It's Chris Eagles Fault...... It's Eddie's fault........ I'm pretty soon it will be our fault, the fans, for not getting behind the team enough. Everybody needs to calm down. It's not decision time. It's time to put our faith in the club and get behind the team.
Casino Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 We are in a bad run of form, but we'll get out of it. how so? we were getting battered by the big clubs but that didn't matter cos they were big clubs and the shit was around the corner we lost to norwich, but hey ho, that didn't matter it was a blip got battered a couple more times, but we reached the shit and beat wigan so it was brave new world then we played an out of form, generally shit sunderland and got battered why should i believe its going to get better when the stubborn fcuker insists on persisting with out and out wingers who aren't even that good he siad, he'd deliver exciting football with wingers who go past full backs...well....when? he hasn't had much to spend but this is his team and its bad its not out of form, it's bad we could've lost 5 yesterday

The Greek government look a more attractive option to bankers than ourselves TBH.

grego Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Lets get Phil Brown in to shout at the midfield!
only1swanny Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Lets get Phil Brown in to shout at the midfield! Phil Brown was always pretty good at getting the players motivated (Except Andy Todd).
no balls Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Phil Brown was always pretty good at getting the players motivated (Except Andy Todd & the whole of Hull City FC).
tarian1979 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Another four or five games for me. If we dont win 2 of the next 4 though id be thinking about making a decision
Danny G Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Another 5 games for me, we need to win 2 of them. I really want Coyle to succeed! I am starting to think he doesnt have a clue though
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 then we played an out of form, generally shit sunderland and got battered I always thought that you were clueless, but WOW... Out of form!?! They've been losing a few games this season but they've not been playing particularly badly and were considered extremely unlucky to lose against Arsenal in the match before ours. We were more out of form than they were. They're spent a million times what we have this summer. Their general player quality is better than ours. I honestly believed we'd lose against them. I hoped we wouldn't, but deep down I knew it would happen (as did half the posters here according to the predictions thread). Anyone thinking that getting rid of Coyle will be the answer needs to seriously take a look at themselves.
birch-chorley Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 decision time? Cheese and onion pie or Chicken and Mushroom? Dont think he will be even looking into a change of manager. If we are in the very deep stuff come christmas then maybee for the January window but there are few managers on the planet that could have us any higher in the league position with the players we have. Certainly none that would come to us. If anyone seriously thinks getting rid of OC to replace him with some other average joe who will come in and bring Muamber in a 5 man midfiled and all of a sudden we are picking up points then they are sadly mistaken IMO. Its a confidence game and we need to get the home form monkey off our backs, do that and we will be fine. It was only last season that many on here where having a go at Coyle for his away form, he has won 3 out of 5 away games this season. Credit where credit is due our away form is looking alot better and lets hope that continues Tuesday / Saturday.

No manager would have been able to replace Sturridge, Holden,Lee, Elmander (and Al Habsi) with the ?7 million OC was given this summer. They were arguably our 4 best players last season and Al Habsi would probably now be the number one keeper if Coyle didn't need the money from his sale to get some sort of striker in to "replace" Sturridge and Elmander. In that case wouldn't it of been best to sell Jussi instead?
SalfordOriginal Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 In that case wouldn't it of been best to sell Jussi instead? I dont think ?500k max for a 36 year old would have gone that far on a striker to be honest
Casino Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I always thought that you were clueless, but WOW... yeah, you're right saturday was their second win of a very successful season fcuk me, thats as good as us
Mounts Kipper Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 In that case wouldn't it of been best to sell Jussi instead? Slight flaw that no fooker wanted a player who is 37 and on the downward slope, other than that you quite right.
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 yeah, you're right saturday was their second win of a very successful season fcuk me, thats as good as us They've been playing well and only just losing, we've been getting battered. It's amazing how facts can be molded to support your argument.
