Its O.k. Its A Plan

Just reading Gartsides reasons for sticking by Owen and its all ok, its a long term plan. Never heard of a plan to be 5 points adrift of safety at the begining of Dec, does the plan involve going down to league 1, 2 or below. The championship is very tough, look at some of the teams that have struggled in there and many have had to take a second relegation to league 1.

Relegation for Bolton is not a plan its a death wish.

maybe the plan is to be so far adrift by march , that they can go into administration this year , take the points hit , and start afresh next year !!!!!

there's method in the magners madness

Seen those comments too- seems as if he's accepting relegation is a probability and staying up a bonus.

Clear some debts, etc, bring in some kids....

Could accept all that if our debts were worse than he says- and if the players were showing some commitment.

At least Coyle's latest post match comments ackowledged that the players weren't fighting for the cause. But can't see much of a plan to deal with it.

Have you thought this one through? dont think Eddie Davies is contemplating putting his club into adminstration as all the debt owed by the club his owed to him, why on gods earth would anybody do that and risk getting 10p in the ? if he is luck.

he's already had most, if not all back in interest payments.

plus who owns the land that the academy is on ?

who owns euxton?

who owns the reebok ?

Won't happen

What's the point?

As long as they can pay their bills and somebody (eddie) is provideding that "overdraft", Eddie will continue to take those interest payments.

He can't take any interest if he has no money in the club.

The only time the club will go under us if they are haemorrhaging cash and the money Eddie has to put in outweighs what he takes out.

More to the point is to whom the debt is owed to.

It is the persons who are owed the debt (when it as fallen due and hasn't been repaid) who can apply for the club to go into Administration. So as long as the taxman and any debt's owing to banks (wasn't there some talk of a cash flow issue some months back?) are paid on time - the remainder - or the vast majority of it - is, so we are led to believe, is owed to Davies.

Therefore I can't really see much point Eddie Davies applying for Administration to get money from the club that he himself owns.

Otherwise he's basically suing himself!

Also I think I'm right in saying - if the club DOES go in to Administration the owner (Eddie Davies) loses possession of it. Davies would therefore have to buy the club back from the Administrator (who becomes the owner of it when it enters Administration).

He may as well just right off his investment in the club - or reschedule the debt repayments or something like that - and retain ownership of the club.

That?s how I understand the options anyway.

Friendly administrator allows you to do whatever the fuck you like (within reason)

There's a million and one loopholes to protect anyone who wants to be protected

Still won't happen though as it makes more sense to keep putting money into the club....ATM

If the clubs stays down for a couple if years and the parachute payments dry up, yet we are still paying big wages, the strategy will be very dlifferent.

Any certainty behind that? He gets a much better Internet rate on the debt the club owes him than any bank would ever give him. He's probably had more back than he's put in.

read again what homo had to say

anyway, dunno where this has come from that hes had more out than hes put in

no way

he's nominally in for about 100 million

if hes getting 10% on what hes owed and has been for 5 (?) years it would 'only' be about 40/50 million, as the debt hasn't been at 100 million for all of those years, has it

Don't go bringing facts into this ;)

Still reckon if everything is totted up, he'll be on a nice earner and not out of pocket

No way. Don't think that he draws the interest. It gets rolled up.

The thing that really concerns me at the moment is that we will go straight through the Championship with this genius in charge.
