gonzo Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 apart from a football card on a snooker night in 2005,ive just realised ive never won fuck all!...not a stitch. even sporting wise,i played sunday football till i bust my leg and came runners up in the league 4 times,runners up in the glehill cup once and runners up in the divisional cup aswell,but never won anything! never won a raffle or even a game of bingo.im rubbish. what have you lot won?
superjohnmcginlay Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 won a couple of cups at under 18 level for the Bolton association at cricket and won the league with Daisy a few years ago, Rochdale Sunday League 2 winners last season, won a few competitions ont radio manc for rugby tickets for my gramps, best thing though was winning two season tickets for the wanderers

Without exaggeration, I must have 12 singles runner up trophies and as many pairs triples and team ones I eventually won a handicap pairs snooker tournament with my mate Andy and had the fuckin' mother of all celebrations after it. Anyway... my mate ended up in hard times mentally and took his own life which hit me hard and my trophy meant a lot to me.. it was our last link... A year or 2 later I was an arsehole to my partner and fucked off on one of my 3 day benders on the drink and came home to find her there saying sorry.... fuck me , it was me who had fucked off and spunked ?250 on booze She had been so fucking angry at me that she destroyed the trophy. she could have ripped my arm off and it wouldn't have hurt as much I left... probably best for her too... she was a nice lass.... i must have been a cunt to drive her to that, she wanted to hurt me and she managed it)
maje Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 i'm another one who's always the runner up, last seasons darts lost in the final of the mens singles and the week before lost in the mens doubles final. i have one 180 winners trophy in the bag though and moved up the ranks in consecutive years with my old team in the super league although i think they were as runner up as well.

Went the Jolley Boys (boxing) at the Reebok the other Sunday, everyone puts a ?5 in an envelope and writes there name and table number on the front. They do a raffle with all the envelopes and the raffle draw has a ?500 1st prize, ?200 2nd prize and ?100 3rd prize. I went with my 2 mates and I took all our envelopes to the front, my mates won the 2nd and 3rd prizes. The room was full of not rights who went mad thinking the thing was rigged.
jules_darby Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Won a few sporting things as a kid Bobby charlton soccer school penalty competition....beckham won the skills one....I showed him who could maximise their potential after that though A few tennis comps as a kid including beating the junior Paris open champion who was 2 yrs older than me Even won the odd chess tournament; yep I was geeky too Fair few team comps and cups in football and golf Was the usual good at most sports but not excellent at any unfortunately And more recently and more prestigiously I won the WW most pissed at wembley competition! My mother will be proud
