bolty58 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 How much is a return flight these days? 300 fcukin quid on the train!!!?? FFS, we used to travel on soap box vouchers.
Whites man Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Cheaper and quicker to fly then. Ain't quicker, especially if you are heading fro central London.
Gonk Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 need to visit dat der London town next week on business Gone on trainline - they want nearly THREE HUNDRED FUKCIN POUNDS And they want us to use our cars less FFS You also need to factor in that there'll be somone already in your reserved seat on the way down, and you'll be standing in a corridor all the way back. Drive to the outskirts, (East Finchley underground - Parkng is ?4.50 per day) and tube it in from there the night before, and have a night out.You can get reasonable 3* hotels for ?100 - ?120 so it still works out way cheaper
Big City Girl Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 My mate always books us tickets for London. I think he uses a few websites (including Midlands trains) and breaks the journey up. Usually we only have to change once and can get there and back for less than ?30.
Ben Der Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Try www.NationalRail.co.uk i was looking the other week and some how first class is cheaper than normal. think on there its about ?200 first class return at peak times. if you can go off peak you can get it for around ?140 i think. Good Luck
Big John Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 We travelled Air Berlin for ?18 return during the summer. We had someone to pick us up at Heathrow, so kept cost down
jayjayoghani Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 If you've done a Piccadilly Euston search, try a Wigan NW - Euston instead?
Casino Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 My mate always books us tickets for London. I think he uses a few websites (including Midlands trains) and breaks the journey up. Big City Girl Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 is that cos you've soiled yourself, again? That's funny - who's hijacked Casino's account??
