Gonk
need to visit dat der London town next week on business Gone on trainline - they want nearly THREE HUNDRED FUKCIN POUNDS And they want us to use our cars less FFS You also need to factor in that there'll be somone already in your reserved seat on the way down, and you'll be standing in a corridor all the way back. Drive to the outskirts, (East Finchley underground - Parkng is ?4.50 per day) and tube it in from there the night before, and have a night out.You can get reasonable 3* hotels for ?100 - ?120 so it still works out way cheaper
Big City Girl
My mate always books us tickets for London. I think he uses a few websites (including Midlands trains) and breaks the journey up. Usually we only have to change once and can get there and back for less than ?30.
Ben Der
Try www.NationalRail.co.uk i was looking the other week and some how first class is cheaper than normal. think on there its about ?200 first class return at peak times. if you can go off peak you can get it for around ?140 i think. Flannel Truscott
I thought about Mcr - Ldn fares the other week when I booked some international train tickets. Thailand to Malaysia, about 7 hours each way, in clean private air conditioned sleepers, with food and drink brought to you, 70 quid. RETURN. FOR 2!
