Hope the Doonhamers can match or better their feats of 2008!
jazza Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 It's got me to reminiscing about 2008 At the time I said this was the second best moment of my life after my wedding.... Well my wedding was all well and good but I'm divorced now Nobody can ever take this away from me.. (I know you won't be interested, but if you do want to watch, start 3 minutes in)
Sweep Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Jazza.........if for some ludicrous reason we played QoS in a Europa League game, do you think you would explode?
jazza Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 QoS played Bolton in a friendly in Dumfries in 95-96ish (Sasa Curcic played) I was torn which end to go into but sat with the Wanderers fans. I know this might seem strange having grown up a QoS fan and having seen them play at every Scottish ground except Aberdeen before my 19th birthday but once i started going to burnden in 86 I was hooked. A lot of people will say once you support a team it's in your blood for life, and I agree. The first result I look for every single week is Queen of the South but in the early 80's so many bad things went on in the boardroom there that I stopped going. I didn't go again for many years, and only found my love and passion in life at Burnden when I went with my ex fiancee's brother Dave (rasher off here) I met so many good and nice people and a lot of notrights too and loved watching wanderers so much they are in my heart and soul. QoS will always be my "first love".... like your teenage sweetheart. Bolton are my passion.. my true love.

Boring fact but, I was living in Annan when that game was played.
Sweep Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Boring fact but, I was living in Annan when that game was played. Which is more boring.......the fact.....or Annan in general?
jazza Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 You must know Ste K Traf? andybwfc's brother, he too lived in Annan about that time.... a good friend of mine Anyway... Why anyone would willingly live there is beyond me ... I once went on a piss up to the Chaplecross social club with my mate Quinny and he ended up getting in a ruck, as is normal in Annan with some lad that kicked a rubbish bin over for no apparent reason .... they were rolling about on the deck stripped to the waist as is the norm. I and the other lads girlfriend were out of it, it was nothing to do with me and it wouldn't have been right 2 on one, even in Annan. Quinny was getting the better of things and the girl didn't like seeing her man getting a shoeing so decided to wade in with her Doc Martins to Quinnys head. I didn't think it was right so restrained her by holding her arms by her side and pulled her away until the lads sorted things out... she went fuckin mental with me and was threatening me with all sorts but I was calm. Eventually things calmed down and the 2 lads stopped scrapping and i let her go... within seconds I had a blade slashing at my face, which luckily missed... she was/is a fuckin psycho. I fucked off!! Annan is the arsehole of Scotland. I met Quinny in Amsterdam when i went watching Scotland there a couple of years ago He's a decent lad but he lives in a fuckin dire place.
Traf Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I don't think I know Ste K. i didn't actually live in Annan, but in Dornock Village about 3 miles away.
jazza Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 I know Dornock well a lovely place ... if you don't like scenery and want fuck all to do better than Annan though
