Boothy Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Another team out of form. Best chance we can have of capitulating and that toss is served up. Quote
Site Supporter HomerJay Posted February 25, 2012 Site Supporter Posted February 25, 2012 All good and well saying we shouldn't beat the but doesn't mean we can't. Also, other teams beat them, or at least draw And We don't seem to be able to beat any fucker else either. Quote
Whizz Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 if anyone expected a result today they're off their head. I was fuming after the wigan game. Today was expected. Quote

Also, other teams beat them, or at least draw And We don't seem to be able to beat any fucker else either. 3 points against Liverpool and a point against arsenal last month would say different. I get your point we don't get enough results against top half teams but it's what we do against the teams around us that will keep us up. Got to agree tho people need to calm down as we can't sack Owen as we would end up like wolves where no one wants the job and as we all know garty ain't going to sack him anyway. Everyone calm down stick together get behind the lads who walk out of the tunnel and try and be positive. It's hard to be positive but we are good enough to save ourselves Quote

gazza Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 i thought on the whole there was a couple of good performances but when the third went in,how all our defenders held their hands up and shrugged their shoulders as if to say how did that happen was laughable.Tim ream did it as well, he's fit right in !! !! anewman Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 But however bad Chelsea have been recently did you really think we'd turn them over? yes or at least a point fuckin disgraceful yet again Quote
passmosster Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I didn't expect a result, I expected a performance, for 90min We were beaten before we left the tunnel to a team on a poor run that had been on a long european trip midweek when they lost. Last season we put up a performance. A couple of seasons before we put the shits up them coming back from 4-1 to 4-3 with a Megson team that didn't know it was beaten. I doubt whether Coyle has the capability of keeping any Bolton team in the Premier League no matter how much time he is given. There's several including Rodgers at Swansea and Lambert at Norwich who have done a far better job with less resources. He has always had a poor appreciation of the players that are needed and has been a lousy tactician. Now he has also become a poor motivator. Quote

The Wanderer Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Anyone who expected a point out of this game is deluded. Quote
Adlington Trotter Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I did not expect a result today. I also didn't expect us allowing players to run into our box from deep and being allowed a tap in at the back post, unmarked. I did not expect a man to drift off the post on a corner thus conceeding a goal. Going from how this season has gone, I DID expect to concede a goal from a corner. Doesn't matter who you are playing, this is basic Sunday league stuff and we are getting it wrong. Quote
newton_white Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 It's not all about the result. 95% of the time a club like Bolton will get beaten by an 'elite' club (to use Owens latest phrase). It's about showing the passion for a fight. Sending a message to the fans that they are up for this and that they will do all they can to stay in the division. Instead we get a powder puff performance which to me says they've all but given up. Let's face it, who out of the current team would you want beside you in the trenches? Who would be up for a battle? Not one of them. How on earth do they expect us to get up for games and to create an intimidating atmosphere at the reebok when we all know that when the hard physical stuff is needed (to compensate for our comparative lack of ability) that they'd all rather be hiding away in the safety of the changing room. As you can tell I'm pretty disillusioned at the moment but can't stop pining for the types of backs to the wall performances we got from some of Allardyce's sides. Quote
cheekybwfc Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Good points! I agree we don't expect to win at chelsea but from a supporter in the stand I can except defeat but what I can expect is a lack of commitment and effort. Which as happened to often this season. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Another team out of form. Best chance we can have of capitulating and that toss is served up. To be fair, capitulating is one of the few things we've been good at this season. Quote

And if you put up a fight against an 'elite club', then on some days you'll actually pick up a point or more. And we are supposed to be in a battle to pick up any points we possibly can, however we can, wherever we can. Aren't we ?? Somebody should tell OC and the players then. Quote
passmosster Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Did I dream the last season and a half? Sorry, I was talking about the future not the past. Anyway, for the last year, we have been on bottom of the table form. Quote
birch-chorley Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 The 4 points pissed away against Norwich / Wigan mean that we MUST get something out of the City / Chelsea game. At least a point to prove we have some bottle. Dont say their is no chance, even Blackburn won at Old Trafford ffs. The Chelsea game would have been the better opportunity to sneak a point. Quote
