Guest Frandsen08 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 "with some players on four-year deals worth over ?10million." Are You Newcastle in Disguise? Quote
no balls Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 (edited) Silly silly boys. I'd be interested as to what their fans, who have been shafted over ticket prices, will feel about this. Anyway, let's not forget ~Shaun Wright-Phillips is a class act who'll get them out of this. Edited March 14, 2012 by no balls Quote
DazBob Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I'd be interested as to what their fans, who have been shafted over ticket prices, will feel about this. Didn't they 'un-shaft' their fans? I thought when that Tony Fernandes fella came in he was ging to give them refunds on their hugely increased season tickets. ... or did I dream that? Quote
Carlos Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 SWP, people had steam coming out of their ears that we didn't meet whatever demands he made. After 1 game at QPR the media were clamouring for an England call up! The lad we've picked up from Arsenal reserves is a better player IMO. Quote

DazBob Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I'd still rather we had SWP than Eagles in our squad .... but not on a ?60k per week deal for four years. He's not worth anything like that. Quote

So then you'd not get SWP, isn't that the point? He was 60k & a 4 year deal or it wasn't happening. Don't get all Butterflyish on us, Daz, please. Quote
newton_white Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Is this honestly a shock to anyone? How else did they think they attracted some of the players they've signed. It's not as if they had European football to offer them is it so it could only be the mighty dollar that tempted players to them as opposed to the other clubs that were interested. Yet another club who thinks that throwing money at it creates a team. It doesn't, it creates a group of undermotivated mercinaries who will jump ship at the earliest opportunity. I wonder which 'ambitious club' Hughes has his eye on for next season when they go down. At least it won't be us because we don't have millions to spend. Quote

Don't get all Butterflyish on us, Daz, please. haha, I'm not doing. I'm just saying he's not as bad as some folk have made out. I still think he's a good player. I was only saying I wish he would've come here for the terms we'd offered him. Quote
Casino Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 this is the point with zamora 4 million same as ngog but about 10 million different in 4 years wages Quote

Casino Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 i can see poss wins v stoke and sunderland something v liverpool poss draws with arsenal and spurs so, max 11 points id not want us to have to better that more likely they'll pick up 5-7 Quote
magic legs Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Realistically can't see more than 8 pts there. Hopefully a few drubbings too. Quote

Carlos Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 We need them to get dicked for the sake of goal difference. Quote
Casino Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 if they're getting no points and we are, our goal difference will be fine Quote
HomerJay Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 we'll get very little point from our fixture because were shit. they will get less because of the teams theyre playing. their fixture list is our saving grace, i just hope it doesn click for them and they start picking up points against big teams im actually quite confident we will stay up now but i wish i didnt have to go through each week, looking at the results and table. Boothy Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I really do hope they go down. It ruins the game for Club's not owned and ran by Sugar Daddies otherwise. Quote
