Currently in Italy.. got three trains here from Edinburgh a week ago. Trains are ace here & half the price of ours.

Been great so far. Today has been too hot though. 38 degrees in Lucca tomorrow so only getting worse. Off to Bologna which is looking cooler.

Any recommendations appreciated 👍

I’d never heard of it until earlier this week seeing a lad I’d know had somehow ended up there for work. Looks incredible.

24 degrees today has been spot on for an hour or so at the cricket and then watching Leigh Miners (3 quid a round cheaper than cricket club…)

Lovely little breeze and job’s a good un. I’m going to die tomorrow.

Bologna on my list of places to go for a long weekend. Eat in plenty of places, weed out the bad and recommend the good please.

Love the not so touristy Italian places

Been recommended this by a local.. Booked in for tomorrow.

Meant to be the best Bolognese in Tuscany.

Sound advice that, got told the same and wasn’t disappointed.

As for Lucca I remember going in this tiny trattoria just inside the city walls and eating some pasta dish with rabbit, best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life, not a clue what is was called and probably isn’t there any more.

You’re welcome.

It dangerous as fuck this weather, be warned.

Went to the care home of the Mrs grandma this afternoon for her 96th birthday. All the family in the garden, was lovely but now back home and she's talking bollocks at me wobbling round the kitchen pissed. Prosecco, this weather and women do not mix well 🙄

I repeat, at a 96th birthday do, for fuck sake!!

It's lush eh. Could cycle round those walls all day. Not overcrowded by tourists either.

Have been years & years ago. Don't remember much of it.

Get to a Puccini recital in one of the churches. Followed by a meal in a nearby trattoria. She’ll be so wet you’ll need a mop

1976 compared to the last 8 years. 1976 is in the middle.

That’s for the whole year. The heat wave in 76 lasted between late June into August. It actually snowed in June of that year. Coloured pictures don’t prove anything.

That's the entire point... People saying "It's just Summer ffs! We had it worse in 1976, so Climate Change is a load of bollocks!" are talking out of their shit-pipes.

Got back from a run a hour ago, was not a pretty sight.

Whatever the weather, it'll never do you any good that malarkey.

Only two occasions you should be running, if your being chased or if your gonna miss last orders.

Maybe it’s the same place. Maybe they sell it everywhere and I’ve basically described some burger I once had in America at this restaurant with a red sign and Golden Arches over it 😆

Heat maps are manipulated dog shit data the media use to get flannels up in arms.

"Fucking hell how dark is that red.... It must be melting outside"

24 degrees.

"Fucking hell how dark is that purple in Bolton... It must be crawling with corona"

8 people in hospital. Caught covid in hospital

Mate of mine mine was quoted 8 hours yesterday for an ambulance.

”is the patient breathing?”

”yes, but his leg is sideways and the bone is poking through the skin”

”is the patient breathing though?”

”yes but his leg looks like a French trimmed rib”

”best get a taxi or a lift, and the queue at A&E is 6 hours”

My advice is not to get Poorly or have an accident right now.
