Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 25 Site Supporter Share Posted September 25 Late summer can give some tremendous skies. Might be bollocks, but I wonder if the lower sun angle plays a part.

If it makes people feel better, it's full of really rich folk who sold up and moved into Cotswold/Oxfordshire villages. Have to say the deep south east has been fine, lovely blue skies with a few showers but that's it.

deeane Koontz
Plane was circling low when I was out for a walk just then. Take it they'd been having fun landing at Manchester 🙂
Not in Crawley
Feels like the first day of autumn down here - daughter's sponsored walk called off due to 'wind and rain' - bloody southerners.
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 27 Site Supporter Share Posted September 27 Glorious today. Dropped a tree, snedded, sliced and stacked. All in sunshine, clear fresh air, with the refreshing scent of pine. Decent workout too. Good for the soul. As shite as the weather can be, days like today make up for it. Would never want to spend days in laboratories again.

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 30 Site Supporter Share Posted September 30 There was a story in the media a while back about the village. Can't remember what it was now. Maybe a TV show?

Jamesplaces do lots of guides for walks around many of their great pubs. Another good guide here. https://www.visitribblevalley.co.uk/walking/ Weather not as good today so a car ride rather than a walk.

meanderson93
Got our wedding coming up last weekend of October, all self contained in one venue so not too concerned about the weather, but she picked this place partly because of the lovely view you get across the countryside at sunset from the reception room/conservatory. So I'm hoping for at least some evening sun for the pictures she's been imagining. As long as the tail end of one of these tropical storms doesn't get picked up by the gulf stream I think we'll manage though, long range forecasts suggest some higher pressure systems at back end of the month, so fingers crossed.
